Implementing robo-umpires would increase accuracy in calling balls and strikes, as humans are prone to making mistakes. The pitch clock makes baseball enjoyable again. Perhaps due to my ADD, I often missed or got distracted while waiting for the ball to be thrown.

There's a couple other obvious ones... Al Pacino (blind man) in Scent of a Woman standing up on the school stage defending Chris O'Donnell's character. Oooh aarrgh. The other one I thought of was the speech by Bruce Willis in Armageddon, when he tries to convince the NASA pilot that they should disarm the bomb. Wow to both.

Definite misses there too!

Great episode. And choices for movie speeches. Mel Gibsons Braveheart Freedom speech is a top for me, also a Top choice has to be Alec Baldwin Glen Gary Glen Ross speech. Classic.
@FridayCoffeeTalks11 ай бұрын
Ah man, how did I miss the Braveheart speech?! That’s a great one. I know it’s terrible and a crime against my profession, but I’ve never seen Glengarry Glen Ross 😬
@MortonT195811 ай бұрын
@@FridayCoffeeTalksFor business themed speeches, Alec Baldwin’s “pep talk” speech is right up there with Gordon Gekko’s “greed is good” speech .

I was diagnosed with Epilepsy when I was 2 and had my Seizure Tumor surgically removed when I was 8. When Mom and I was moving out of California in 2021 she mentioned out of the blue that when I was in Kindergarten I had a bad Seizure and the School called the Army Base for my Mom to drive me home that I had a Seizure. (Both my Mom and Dad were in the Army National Guard)

I am a single dad. It is a lot. I don't even date hardly because I don't want to introduce the wrong person to my daughter. And scheduling to get work done is a bit of a challenge sometimes but it all works out.

Thanks for the plug. I just subscribed to your channel. I will tell you this much that for me I can create a personalized video with the LinkedIn app and get about a 15% conversion rate to a meeting. and that’s them sending me their schedule link. The key is not to sell anything what to talk about them and allow them to come to you. In my video I tend to ask them to take a look at my profile. And if they see any dots to connect feel free to send me their information. My goal is not to sell but to build a relationship. And if I can help them along the way then that’s just a bonus.

I love that so much! I almost never ask people for a meeting. My go-to is "check out what I post here and let me know if you find it interesting".

Looking forward to watching the coffee brackets. Of course, I have to ask…. When you go to a coffee shop(i.e. Starbucks) are you going to do their brewed coffee(YUK!!) or an expresso drink(Latte, Flat, Etc…). Love the 5 keys to leadership. I am not familar with Jeff Henderson, but I’ll check him out.

I’ve got to go with a drip coffee so that it’s fair against the true fast food joints. Got to have some integrity in the KZbin coffee competition! (Although I’ll probably get a cold brew or a latte also to enjoy) Jeff is wonderful - his book called Know What You’re For is incredible!
