I see you had to drain coolant to get the valve cover off. How difficult was it to remove?

How long did it take to do the job? Thanks in advance!

6 hours, but I'm a DIY type. I don't work on cars except to change fluids.

It had the little rattle on the steering column over bumps, right

Yes, no need to replace the entire column just this$10 plastic. I love Toyota

@@chris103193 I'm dealing with this right now, I'm 99% sure this is the problem in my 2013 RX350. I even made a short video here about it. The little rattle makes me want to drive my RX 350 into a wall. Since the dealership changed the intermediate steering shaft with little change to the noise, now they say it's going to need the entire column replaced almost $4K. I have a $10 part on order now...

@@TheCbone1979 I changed the column myself on my 2010 rx350, bought a used column on eBay from a 2013. After about 40k miles on this used replacement, I'm getting that same rattle yet again. Seems like this plastic piece is a wear item, just cumbersome to replace. Definitely a job that can be done at home with minor experience.

@@TheCbone1979I have a 2013 rx350 with this exact issue it’s driving me crazy. I believe it’s that same $10 part. Have you fixed it? If so how much did they charge or did you do it yourself?
@TheCbone19795 ай бұрын
@@albertoleal9725 I'd estimate $350 - $400 for an independent shop to perform the repair. I repaired it myself with that $10 part from Amazon, but I would pay a shop to do it again in the future. It's money well-spent and I haven't had any further issues.
