I do hear they pay min wage-which is not great for such a large and profitable corp. I went to Disneyland 41 yrs ago at age 13 and it was magic-spent a whole week there! Knotsberry Farm is a very pale imitation.

Customer service used to be what set Disney apart from other parks and resorts, but they're going to find that you can't keep treating your workers badly and expect the same level of service.

I didn’t work at Disney - but I had a mental breakdown at Brighton (a pricey store for fake jewelry) this happened right before the Covid pandemic of 2020. It was Dec 22 - and I was supposed to go to a party with my coworkers - I freaked inwardly - I didn’t want to go - but whatever. I worked the shift - one of my co workers said I made a face as she was talking. - my manager was like in front of the customers going off - I held it together as long as I could - then I tried to quit - Manager I don’t want you to quit - me - well apparently I make faces soooo - (this was a second job - understand the first job are my students - they come first bar none - now teachers can take a lot - we get asked crazy questions - we love our students and their families) - but - this was not a shining moment - and honestly - I couldn’t handle the extra job for extra Christmas money). Anyway - I wasn’t at the school - I was doing this other job - and being treated the way you don’t even disrespect students - should be done privately - a whisper - meet me in the back room - would have sufficed - screaming at me for making faces - that - honestly I can’t help the way my face looks - idk - that was weird - but I wasn’t allowed to quit - I was expected to go to this country club for a coworker party - I was temporary - this was late December - these coworkers - I don’t know them and I’m leaving soon and never coming back - but I went on a break to calm myself - I found myself in the parking garage - in my car - driving HOME - upon my arrival I pulled over and texted my manager - left because I do not feel very well - got a text back you have to come tonight - I texted back I’m running a fever, I can’t be there - I was next on schedule for Christmas Eve - I thought about Mall traffic - and how that did not sound like fun - and could actually be deadly - I texted my manager still sick - I won’t be coming back - I am done. I didn’t go back to the mall - until right before the shut down in March - I made my friend hold a few contents of my bag - put the bag over my head to avoid seeing Brighton - I commend your boldness for going to the MK the day you quit - that takes guts!

hi! okay so question. i literally just got hired at disney as part time, and im not CP. so i work under the union, however, i want to quit so bad and im not sure if i can just quit on the spot. has anyone done this who ISNT CP? it’s affecting my mental health and i hate the environment
