Crazy cool build, but I couldn’t help but notice that one of the sponsors was Axial, an RC crawler company. Now “rival” company Losi made a 1:10 scale rc of it. Weird.

Some vehicles have independent front suspension while others have solid axles up front. Do these race in separate classes or do they compete in the same class? If they're in the same class, which tends to fare better?

same class I believe and apparently it's a one of a kind ULTRA car

The black Lasernut has four wheel independent suspension while the red one has an independent front but solid rear. The 4 wheel independent appears one of a kind but some of the other vehicles at least have an independent front. I would guess that the independent suspension is more supple but much more prone to break.

It was this distinction, especially its use of an Independent rear suspension that caught my attention. That is uncommon and advanced. The question is 'how does it fare relative to the 'old standard' of solids front and rear' Do you know if any conclusions were reached?

that's one of the most amazing vehicles I have ever seen. I also know that at least 50% of that performance- regardless of the amzing nature of a suspension -that must cost a gazillion dollars to actually fabricate to that stature - is coming from the KR2s in that size & ply; I speak from experience, BFG makes a tire that can basically last while making it thru any freaking terrain you can throw at them these days. Nice wheels, surprised I haven't heard of this thing yet. Amazing development. I am betting you had some h8ers in the field as you just croooooozed like silly putty flowing thru that stuff!
