Whilst I somewhat understand the point you're making , I'm sorry but this video is just one big bad take. A lot of the examples you use, you are leaving out the important context to these characters . E.g. Master Chief dosn't cry to due the scientific mutations and surgery he has endured to become a spartan (similar to Geralt), in fact they state in the beginning of Halo 4 the example you used Halsley literally states that they are bred to be like sociopaths showing no emotion. Kratos barely shows emotion is because he is a Spartan where they saw crying as a weakness. Plus you dont have to necessarily need to hear the characters cry, you can tell from their body language of how they feel which communicates their emotions like Isaac from Dead Space where he was mute in the first game. Seeing the examples you use tells me that you haven't played these games.

I feel like you equate emotional as good, which sure it could be though a some of the characters you show have emotional moments and you seem to cut those moments (snake crying at the bosses grave, Kratos from the original games who back story, the missing context on the dead space ending.) I want to say you missed these, but if you intentionally missed on on them, then yikes.

He has an ACTUAL mask and we can’t see his facial expression but we know he’s grieving, there’s other ways to show emotion than just the physical sense, also you compared a literal spartan to a teenage girl crying, snake, kratos and master chief are war veterans and have seen countless deaths, also what about Arthur Morgan? PS4 Spiderman? etc. if you need someone to completely bawl their eyes out just to show emotion then maybe you’re the one who can’t see true emotion. Also kratos does show emotion, just in different ways like rage 🤦🏽‍♂️

The fact you listed Kratos as boring proves that you don't actually play the games you are covering.

My big question is how did Thedas come to be. My best theory is during the Reaper War some humans fled to what became Thedas and destroyed their technology in an effort to hide from the Reapers. Either they were so scared they wanted to start over from scratch. or they planned to remain in hiding until the Reapers returned to the void between galaxies then emerge, re-arm and have a massive advantage with tens of thousands of years to prepare before the Reapers returned but something went very wrong and they forgot their past Maybe they went into stasis while the terraforming took place but something to do with the stasis wiped their memories and their records were lost. My big question is why no one sent help. Either the Reapers won the war or maybe by the time the System Alliance discovered Thedas its inhabitants had forgotten where they or their ancestors came from and it was decided to let their society evolve on its own until they returned to the stars.
