This isn't a very helpful video for what i searched to get here. I'm trying to find the manual for my VCC159AV01 to better understand the timelapse feature. This was basically how to use any camcorder. But that's a great placement on that TV and VCR setup, is that mounted? I have a use where i could do for mounting a combo unit like that.

Hi mark, i hope this comment finds you well, 11 years later and i believe that rings technology has improved I've seen 2000hp pistons come with 3mm, 12lbs OCR tension

I’ve had so much difficulty with these. They always slide around or come out of the groove when I’m trying to install the pistons into the block

I put an engine together a couple years ago. Checked the gap on top and second ring and they were bang on for what I needed. Tried to put it in the hole and the pistons would hardly move. They were held up on way too much tension on the oil rings. They must have been packaged wrong for a bigger oversize. Unfortunately I had bought these rings years earlier so no chance of returning.

Thank you for this info. I build a good bit of engines but really didnt know about the bevel location. Usually they will be indivdually wrapped or a slight color difference. For those of you buying Mahle SBC rings from Rock Auto and your package comes pre-opened. Check it. My rings were swapped.

This was just a test pass, I think he had more in it, it's funny how things evolve, my buddy drove up from Concord to Sac raceway last weekend in his 07 4.6L 3 valve Mustang w/ a 2.3L TVS and clicked off a 10.30 LOL! Not nearly as cool as that old BB Ford though.

Yeah I have a brand-new alternator Ford Motor Company that's only charging if I put pressure on the regulator like putting a screwdriver between the housing and the regulator and put just a tiny bit of pressure it starts charging let go it stops I have a piece of cardboard shoved there right now to keep it charging because I cannot freaking figure it out anybody have any ideas I'll take any ideas at this point

I am thoroughly confused. Neither of my rings have a dot or dimple. Both have bevels at the same angle as each other. ONe ring has an "R" on the top. The second rings had an "RN" I cannot tell them apart EXCEPT that one ring is graphite gray and one rings is black. They both feel as rigid as each other....I'm lost 😛

I got a stupid question I’m working on a 200s engine bought new rings and they say 1st ring and 2nd ring on two of them I know the other two rings and squiggly one goes 3 rd down but what is confusing me is does 1st mean it goes into second notch down or first as in at the top of piston hopefully I explained it well enough to understand what my confusion is?

Lean that barrel valve out a couple of flats and it that motor goes from being mean to being pissed off and hateful! Instantly, making men out those students especially, if they’ve only been around 14.99 second Japanese vehicles sporting an 8” fart can!! Although, cracking the throttle within that building probably did scare the majority of students while providing a lifelong memory to share over the course of their life!! Awesome way to make a lasting impression!
