The drums on shoulda woulda coulda is placed on an off timing which was intentional. A lot of y2k songs had that pattern. Everyone won’t get it

So the trustworthy interlude transfers the tone of the songs, so all songs before trustworthy where from gettting into and being in a good relationship, then caught up is the beginning of the breakdown of the trust, and you’ll see all the songs post caught up are darker and post a relationship

Album cover : Stella ( right ), Jorja ( middle ), Renée ( left ). FLO formed in 2019, in London but they blew up in 2022 with their song "Cardboard Box". They draw their inspiration from 90s/2000s R&B artists and girl groups. You absolutely must give their debut EP "The Lead" a full reaction. The album was produced by MNEK, with whom the girls co-wrote the songs and Jorja is the whistler. I loved your reaction, I wish it had been longer, especially for Shoulda Woulda Coulda and Check. I hope you'll change your mind after a second listen

Hey man! For future reference, K-Pop isn't a genre. It's an industry made up of a ton of genres (yes, including quite a bit of R&B). On that note, if you want to check out some R&B K-Pop, I recommend EXO and Red Velvet. Probably the two most well known groups for R&B.

Composers of Hey Mickey were credited in the song. They interpoled Hey Mickey. It’s different from sampling. Sampling straight up uses the audio from another song. Interpole uses the song but by completely making it from scratch.
