moderate means your heart has moderately reduced ejection out into your blood. So your pump compared to others is reduced in function. ejection fraction is a way to quantify how far or close you are from heart failure. Technically, moderately reduced ejection fraction means you have a moderate heart failure as seen on the left side of your heart, though with medications the failing of the heart can be improved or stopped.

Is this the same as a higher than normal ejection fraction? Mine gets into the low 70's, but ventricle is normal size. My research says its not good, but cardiologist says not to worry about it.
