So, after I reviewed a "D" list after two weeks, whatever I DIDN'T recall goes into a NEW book? After going through, say five, headlists, and after reviewing each "A"/"B"/"C"/"D" after two weeks, if I have leftover/unknown words from the "D" list from 5 Headlists - all these words go into a separate notebook for leftover "D" list words, forming their own Headlist? Or what? MANY THANKS!!!

Why was niet not at the end on sentence 5?
@TheDutchOnlineAcademy8 ай бұрын
Hi! Because NIET is not placed behind an adverb of Place (naar buiten). It's usually placed between the adverbs of Tijd (time) and the adverb of Manier (manner, way). For example: Wij fietsen morgen niet samen naar school . But often, a sentence doesn't contain so many adverbs. Here you can find more info about the word order of adverbs: thedutchonlineacademy.com/en/grammar/word-order-adverbs-tempo-is-not-everything

This is introduced in Duolingo with very little explanation. You have done a better job explaining it...but it is really quite difficult.

Hard to imagine anything as stupid as a language video with no spoken soundtrack; just background music. Utter waste.

I suppose it's because I've always been a language nerd that I've never felt the need to think of 'soft ketchup' or 'x-pocketfish'; I just look to see if the last letter in the stem is voiceless.
