Great except you never showed how to actually program the mouse - the G7000s is not nearly as easy as the G502 so showing the G700 would have been nice

Hi can I strongarm people for resources when I play a knight? My friends came to an agreement where while you cant ask for a specific card you want and just get them for free to keep you from playing a robber on them, you can force a 2-1 trade so you still do get an additional card but through trade.

you need 5 streets to get the longest road and not 6

Two questions: 1. If I have the largest army/longest road card, and there is a tie between me and my opponent Who gets the card? 2. When I play the robber, can I ask the other players how many cards they have?
@MarkBarros
@MarkBarros 5 жыл бұрын
1. The largest army/longest road cards go to the person with the largest army/longest road. For someone to take that card from you they need to build a larger army or longer road. If they only tie you they don't get the card. They have to build an army or road at least one bigger to take the card. 2. No. You must choose a player to rob from based on what you know. Once you select a player that you want to steal a card from, they have to present all their cards to you so that you can blindly select one. But until you select the player they do not have to show you.

@@MarkBarros But it's not possible to know if the other players have cards? Because I want to steal from a player who has cards
@MarkBarros
@MarkBarros 5 жыл бұрын
@@ירוןאפרים Understood. That's why you have to pay attention to who is collecting cards. If you select a player who doesn't have any cards you don't get to steal any.

@@MarkBarros Oh ok but it's kinda weird because the rules do say that you can ask the number of the cards on page 8 Here are the rules: www.catan.com/files/downloads/catan_5th_ed_rules_eng_150303.pdf

Very clear overview of the game. Thanks! I have some questions : 1). Do players hide their resource card type from other players ? 2). When a player rolls 7; does the player who rolled 7 also have to discard half of his resource cards ? 3). When somebody plays knight/soldier to move the robber; do players (including the player who played it if applicable) have to discard have of the cards similar to rolling a 7 ?
@MarkBarros
@MarkBarros 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 1) Yes. 2) Yes. Everyone discards down on a roll of 7. 3) No. Playing the knight/soldier does NOT require anyone to discard cards. The person who plays the knight/soldier can "optionally" steal one card from a single player who is affected by the placement of the robber.

Hey, How many development cards is each player allowed to accumulate at a given instance?
@MarkBarros
@MarkBarros 6 жыл бұрын
You can purchase as many development cards as you can afford on your turn. There is no limit to how many you can purchase or hold in your hand at one time, though you can only play one development card on the turn after you purchase it or any time thereafter (unless it is a victory point card... You can play those immediately).

what's the point if putting the number tiles in alphabetical order
@MarkBarros
@MarkBarros 6 жыл бұрын
Putting them in alphabetical order assures that the numbers are distributed in an even fashion around the board. Some numbers have a greater probability of coming out on a roll. If they are clustered together then someone could start the game with a very strong position making it virtually impossible for others to beat. Conversely, without spreading things out, you may be forced to select an intersection with a "2", "12" and "12" which are very low probability rolls.

Whew! Thank you so much for this tutorial! We got this out to play it, read through the directions many times - each of us - and eventually put the game away, and played gas out (we let the kid choose the next 1). It has been in our closet since. My fiance is an avid train guy, & this game was a gift to him. Now, I can play the rules and kick his butt at his own game. 🤗 Thanks a million for the clear instructions.
