At least this film for Paul Reiser makes up for not appearing in Beverly Hills cop 3 which was a piece of trash. But I’m glad he’s returning as Jeffrey Friedman again in Beverly Hills cop 4 because he was great in the first two Beverly Hills cop movies.

This was typical 90's can of corn the ONLY poignant scene was at the end when Modine and Reiser are getting real. Reiser: "How come we never talk like this? Do you want to?.......Modine: "Naw", Reiser: " Yeah me neither"! That's a real "guy" conversation, right there

One of the few movies that made me cry. Especially the scene with Paul reiser and his daughter breaking down in the tree house. Heartbreaking.

This was truly a great movie! Taught me a lot about relationships from a very young age. Hard to believe there was a time that Randy Quaid was not a fucking lunatic! He was actually a very good and likable actor. Too bad he's changed so much for the worse. Oh well, the rest are still great!

Agree with you about Quaid! He was such a versatile actor back in the day. Imagine doing a comedy like "Kingpin" and then playing the heavy in "Brokeback Mountain"!

They played this on HBO ALL the time in the 90's when they used to have free HBO specials. I watched it every single time in my early teens. I love this movie. I love Paul Reiser.
