The tuner was on 😂😂😂 It's stuff like this that makes me love your vids .. Also, now I want an Xvive .. for the price that seems like a dandy little unit to replace my broken 20-year old AKG Wireless System

I have one and I enjoy it but pulling the pedalboard in and out is a pain.

You know how to get a guitarist to turn down the volume? Put sheet music in front of them.

So you plug this straight into a speaker? Or do you need something else? Can it get loud?

Instead of the SM7B just get SE Electronics V7 or with the integrated inline booster (aka an inline cloudlifeter) or any higher output dynamic mic lol. If you already have a sm7b or other low output mic then there are other inline boosters that are way cheaper and serve the same function

SM7B owner here - I bought a Klark Teknik mic booster which does the same job as the Cloudlifter for much cheaper. For the most part, I enjoyed using the SM7B. Having said that, if I could choose to have any mic nowadays, I'd definitely choose an SE Electronic V7 or the V7 MK (those two are basically neck and neck in pricing). I like the sound of the V7 more, and it's much cheaper too

Yea i'm sorry no. Save yourself the money nowadays there's many even inexpensive interfaces that have enough gain to handle SM7b there's also the SM7db. Unless the cloud lift was coloring the sound in a good way that would be worth it but nowadays cloudlifts are not needed and are a waste of money unless you have a crappy interface which in that case sell it, save up and buy a new interface. Interface recommendations: Focusrite Gen 4 PreSonus Quantum Lewitt connect 2 or connect 6 Universal Audio volt Black lion revolution SSL 2+ mark ll

hahahh i was just having a conversation about the robotuners with someone I had a student, one of my favorite students of all time he always had such nice guitars and he had one but it never was as fast or quite as accurate as just tuning it yourself

I noticed more movement of the air in the bass drum on the second sample. I liked it more. But that is the only difference that I heard without headphones on a 2.1 channel system.

That is interesting! Listening back in the car, and on the phone, different sources I’m still hearing the snare as the main tell for me. Not even which is which but just that there’s something different. Still - super close and $2000 different is a whole other story. I think the main point is that you don’t have to wait until you have expensive stuff to put out decent sounding recordings and you should upgrade when you’re comfortable. I know a lot of people that don’t do anything cu they think their stuff isn’t nice enough.

@ I agree completely. In many cases, our budget gear is better than the top dollar gear used to record some of the top albums 50, 60 years ago. Both mic sets sounded great, and the differences were nearly inaudible in the final mix. I wish I could get my brother to understand that he doesn't need the state of the art gear to get into recording and mixing as a service.

another great video proving you should just record andf make music not spend all your time freaking out about the gear you have
@ShreducationNation11 күн бұрын
thank you! I'm really proud of this video actually, and I'm surprised how close they sound. I am always guilty of spending way too much money on gear for no reason. Will I learn my lesson? probably not.
@kyronnewbury11 күн бұрын
@ShreducationNation my biggest thing is if you're making music and also enjoying gear that's great. There's so many people that spend all their time buying gear/plugin and not actually making music. But Learnung lessons is hard lol

I gave this a thumbs down because he said “The Fly Rig 5 LITERALLY saved his life," yet there was no story of how he used it like Clint Eastwood and Marty McFly AS Clint Eastwood, to stop a bullet. At least then we could have called you Marty McFlyRig.
