One thing I don't like about some of the clubs in SORCS is they don't cut the trail wide enough or make alternate lines for passing. An ex AA rider once told me fast riders will be in front of you before you know they were behind you as they never yell but when the trails are that tight, it is tough to make passes.
@Bryan-Hensley17 күн бұрын
@@crashdsnowman1 some are pretty tight. I used to walk the first 2 or 3 miles on Saturday just to study the "hot lines". I used to run the morning race with the C racers. But now they split my class up and I start just a few rows behind the pros. I don't have to worry about hotlines now, I'm the one holding people up.

Dang dude, where'd you find all that dust? Lol, guess I was lucky. Had a few guys pass me really fast and I passed a few really fast. Very seldom rode in anyone's dust. And test 7 was so cool, never saw a single rider the entire 16.4 miles.
@Bryan-HensleyАй бұрын
@@erniea1175 is that how long the lap was for sure? I don't think I got the same answer from anyone.
@erniea1175Ай бұрын
@ Yep. I reset my computer every test. Tests 1&4 5.9 miles, 2&5 5.4 miles, and 3&6 5.1 miles. Test 7 16.4, so the math was consistent.

Are most of the races put on by SORCS 1 lap of 12-17 miles? Course seems very narrow, almost too narrow to pass and NO ONE pulls over to let the faster rider pass.
@Bryan-HensleyАй бұрын
@@crashdsnowman1 they aren't that long of a lap.. probably more like 7 to 12 miles. C race would make 3 laps in a 12 mile race. 4 to 5 in a 7 mile lap

I went into this race with a less aggressive attitude. For one thing, I can't win the championship now. Another thing, I found out I've caused a few crashes. I didn't get a chance to pre-walk the first few miles. And I can't find the "hotline" passing places as easy since it's green in the woods, especially without pre-walking. I did pre-walk the beginning in the fields to see if there was anything to hit in the dust. But mainly, I'm going to be a little more careful passing people. I don't want to get anyone hurt. And I still contributed to David Ferri's crash in this race.
