How do you like the 507comp on the JP5? Do you use a riser or just a plate?
@ipscjoe
@ipscjoe Жыл бұрын
I bought two inexpensive “monstum” brand risers off Amazon. I didn’t know what height I would need…The medium is perfect for me. I wanted nearly the same offset as my 510c scope I took off and the medium is about the same. I love this new scope. I did bring it a few places closer to my eye on the rail vs the 510c because of the window size. I’ve been using mostly the 8min circle with the dot but on really close open papers I’ve bumped it up bigger. It’s just nice to have a choice now and I’m not over confirming my aiming and costing me time like with just the 2min dot. Get one they’re great 👍

@@ipscjoe Thanks. What lock piece? I am using 70 degrees, 115 and N320 also.

@@johnrick497 I'm using the 70....I might go back to the 80 to speed up the lock time a little.....It shoots so soft anyway....

Just curious if this machine has to be 100% babysat while running. If it jams up does it start breaking stuff?
@ipscjoe
@ipscjoe 2 жыл бұрын
Must be babysat IMO…an upside down case CAN break a pin …I’ve bent them straight again with no issue but don’t let the machine run without me watching.

Do you think it could form brass as well? I understand that is not what is made to do, but...just want to know
@ipscjoe
@ipscjoe 3 жыл бұрын
No way….too many plastic parts….just sturdy enough for de-priming though…Plus I think the cycle speed turned WAY down would be too fast as well….
@rollsizer5623
@rollsizer5623 2 жыл бұрын
No. Not designed for sizing. It does npt have a shellplate to hold the case down.

Quick question is there a way to shoot better competition guns that aren't on the cal roster when we compete nationally

I'm pretty sure they are all on a "first come first serve" basis........Personally I would stay at Madison....It is relatively equal distance from the major sites like Old Faithful, and Mammoth Hot Springs......Also if you need anything like groceries etc., you are closer to town and wouldn't have to pay the high prices in the park stores....

@iphoneAnswers Three days ago I would have said no....We actually got 6 inches or more in the evening and it stuck......I think you will be fine......I was just more or less complaining...I live here and I'm just tired of snow...This winter was particularly hard....Hope you have a great vacation...

Yep,2 SA pistols,1 pistol caliber rifle(unless it's a long range match),and a shotgun. All should be pre-1900 design;unless you're shooting "Wild Bunch",then you can use 1911 .45 ACP.

I do pretty good, but there are others that would blow your mind....The current record for 10 shots is under 2 seconds. Which is smoking fast for a levergun...Thanks for the comment.
@tango16
@tango16 17 жыл бұрын
Damn! You are quick with that levergun! How do your times usually compare with those of other competitors? Never shot one of those cowboy matches before, going to have to go try it out.

Pistol caliber ammo is all that is allowed, unless you are shooting "long range" side matches at an event. That's where you will see the sharps/quigley type guns.

Nice shootin' Tex. Who needs an Automatic when you can rip a lever action like that! .38 is an interesting round to use. I know for acuracy and shooter stmina reason why yu use teh .38 but wouldn't it be more authentic with a 45-70? What are your thoughts?
