I like the Supercross-style dedicated start lane. Have not seen that on an RC track before.

Thanks. Helped with maxx. Was cheaper to just buy the bearings separately than the traxxas kit.

The silcone spray would also do a great job on the plastics as well. Just mist let it dwell then wipe excess if necessary. Protects and gives a nice shine on plastics and the metals and aluminum. Great video

Does it really matter if you have runs on the INSIDE of the body? No one can see it anyway.
@cfusername
@cfusername 5 ай бұрын
The problem are less the drops on the inside, but the fact that the concentrated paint will dissolve the color below and create some bubbles which you can see from the other side. The same sometimes happens if there's just too much paint, even if there isn't already a layer below. I think the reason is, that the solvents evaporate very quickly and if there's too much paint it creates these bubbles. The paint is meant to be sprayed on in thin layers.

Two things . Gear mesh was to tight . And you don’t need to take the motor mount out to get the motor or just pull the top screw fold the motor out and it will come rite out

Would backing it with white vs leaving it unbacked have given it a higher neon glow?
@andrew-hd3ih
@andrew-hd3ih 6 ай бұрын
Yes I think the white looks better
@cfusername
@cfusername 5 ай бұрын
If you want to boost the color or preserve it as it is, use white or silver before black. I usually use white and then black. I only use black, if there are windows, since it looks considerably better from the outside. If the body doesn't have windows I usually put on white only and stop there.

Great video. How do you know when it’s time to get a new motor vs repair kit? I have one motor that won’t turn over but you can hear it trying
@1Rockyjl
@1Rockyjl Жыл бұрын
If you are thinking about getting a new motor anyway, then take the existing one apart and check to see if the bearings are actually bound up. You can also blow out between the rotor core and the stator. Finally you could try some electric motor oil on the bearings to see if that helps them rotate. If the oil helps then you should be able to rebuild and solve your issue. If the paper or the windings on the rotor core, or the magnets on the stator are damaged, it is time to replace the motor.

Awesome detailed video & watched your linked backyard racing super jelly of that setup! Roughly what do you think the ultimate setup cost you? I'm really leaning towards to the HD kit has I don't big jumps just off roads sliding around, wheelies & light jumps. But cant argue the longevity of the ultimate upgrades so curious on your thoughts, thxs!

Hey man,. This truck definitely has a steep curve to getting it dialed and durable. We finally received all of our parts and have done all of the upgrades (except the A arms (so far) ) however the metal hexes stripped the plastic hex inside the wheel yesterday. I am wondering what wheels you recommend or if you have considered the ProLine 17mm hex kit? Not sure if that could be the long term solution. What do you think?
@1Rockyjl
@1Rockyjl Жыл бұрын
The stock sledgehammer have been the best I have found so far. Proline does make some pretty tough wheels and I have seen several guys running them with no issues. I have also thought about the 17mm conversion, but it is just that much more strain on the drivetrain and I worry about stressing the system.
