It has potential, however, that cost is WHY it's still on the market with as much work needed to bring it up esthetically. "Sold as is" that is an alarm that most buyers will walk away from.

❤ Good looking on the outside. Lacks updates on the inside. $599k implies turn key perfect. Considering the presence of damage, the seller believed that the market, location, and size would sell the house. For 3k square feet, I expected at least 5 bedrooms with a three seasons room and a butler's pantry. The house can sell for $599k; however, it needs to be renovated and given a deep clean of the exterior and landscape. Also, if one is selling a home at that price point, the seller must ensure that the AC is running. This is more like a $485k house.❤

Speaking from the experience of living in and selling a home in a gated community in South FLorida before moving here, this home has a ways to go before it sells. Either a significant price drop again, or major work continued. While landscaping would be a mimum step that was a mistake to skip, it is likely a mis to keep dated AC units covered by overgrown hedges that could be better utilized elsewher on the property. The rear deck should absolutely have been repaired and stained before marketing (and I would require it before closing). At this price point, the property is very dated! There is no excuse to see a $600K home with kitchen cabinets in such condition. The bathrooms ALL need remodeling from floors, vanities, tubs/showers, mirrors, etc and all fixtures. The ceiling issue on the second floor just shouldn't exist - and is a harbinger of a nightmare for a 20+ year old house. Smoker smell in the barely finished basement can be fixed, but why spend money on paint and carpets and leave 20-yr old linoleum on the floor. It would be a minor step to finish the remaining rooms and/or stick some minor appliances in what would pass for a kitchen/kitchenette (if you truly want to get $600K). Finally, Im sure a gated community has nicer and more "FINISHED" homes at that price poinnt to offer.

OK, a perspective from someone not from the US (and I grew up in a huge house and have also rented very large houses so I know all the issues you can have with them). - No privacy outside - back garden is totally open to all the neighbours, everything you do can be watched, not something that appeals to everyone. Here we mainly have 6' walls or wood fences around our rear gardens for that reason - no privacy inside, all those archways (and I've lived in a couple of houses with them downstairs as well in the past) look great but if you've got visitors for example you can't have any privacy, kids can't go somewhere quiet to do homework or watch their telly programmes without disturbing others - kitchen cabinets are scruffy but it's cheap and quick to buy new doors in a style that suits you, a quick, easy and cheap fix, the counter tops looked to be in good condition - not keen on wooden decking, can be lethal in the rain and requires a lot of regular maintenance - the ''2'' car garage looked to be very small, smaller than the one I grew up with and that was awkward to get around when both cars were in - the layout was rather odd, lots of small rooms but no privacy - 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom and no doors, forget it. Plus both rooms re very small for such a huge house, - all those balustrades leaving the upstairs open to the downstairs, if you have visitors downstairs and young kids/teens trying to sleep or playing (music, telly, computer games) then you will hear things all through the house, not good interior design - the ''spare''room was ok - all the space went into the master suite which is bad design again, lovely ceiling in the bedroom area but lots of wasted space and glass doors into a bedroom, no thanks - in general all the rooms had tiny windows except for the master bedroom, the light wasn't great and do the windows in the bathrooms open to let steam out/ventilate the rooms, if not you're building up mould problems. - On the plus side, the basement appears to be a separate flat, maybe a granny flat or great if you have older children who can't afford to rent/buy their own home but still want privacy and a life away from the family. Not a property I'd buy, badly designed and looks to be a cheap build, probably won't last long and shouldn't be looking that bad given it's only about 20 years old, what is the insulation like for keeping heat out in summer and in in winter, walls look to be very thin so guessing insulation is virtually non existent. A large house on the outside but badly designed on the inside and probably not very liveable for a family. But the ''granny flat'' in the basement looks well designed and comfortable. A viewer from Ireland. EDIT I counted 4 bathrooms - 3 upstairs and 1 in the basement - plus what we'd call a cloakroom or simply a ''downstairs/visitors toilet''.

Yeah that house is way overpriced for the issues at hand. One the bathrooms are all outdated, two the cabinets in the kitchen a no go, the den adjoining the kitchen is quite small, to me the house seems kinda cramped on the first floor, whatever that leak was is a hell no, I don't think the AC works because they are running outside but not cooling the home, the deck looks like it's about to dry rot. Just overall no.

Very dated. First, front of house and yard look so sad. Add some flowers, potted plants, nice seating area on front porch. Curb appeal. Inside, even if its only cosmetic, lighting, carpet and hardware need updating. Baths and kitchens cost a lot of money to update. All need help big time.

I like the layout but overall for that asking price I think the house could show better if they would have taken time do a proper cleaning the fresh paint inside shows how dirty the house is and they have products that cost way last than paint or painting a house that would clean the floors/carpets kitchen and bathrooms they even have products that would repair the scratches on the cabinets and floors if they didn’t want to replace them and the outside lack curb appeal could have done a refresh

1) deck, have you seen the cost to redo, I just did my primary deck, 35x16. 2) lower kitchen cabinets. 3) that leak hint at the top of the stairs. 4) the jack and Jill bath has issues with that tub. Question: HOA fees Question: area around the gated community.
@dlinder7
@dlinder7 12 күн бұрын
Agreed the cost to get a deck this size can be quite expensive. HOA fees here are $108/month. This community does sit near other nice neighborhoods and both entrances were gated from what I could tell. There is a gate strictly for residents and one for guests. Great points and thanks for watching!
@ABC1701A
@ABC1701A 9 күн бұрын
I did wonder i there was an HOA, I don't live in the US but from comments I've seen on various videos that alone might be an issue as it seems many now do NOT want to live in an HOA due to the limitations/lack of freedom. Might also explain why not only this garden but the others you glimpsed as well all look, well bland. Not even fencing around the front or privacy fencing around the back garden, not everybody wants to be completely open like that to the rest of the neighbourhood. I'm used to gardens with 6' block walls around them, occasionally wooden fencing but still 6' tall for privacy. This is Ireland and if we're out in our back gardens we like to be private rather than on view to the world and his spouse.

My favorite game, guess the problems.....So, it is beautiful, but that house was NOT well maintained...when you see 1. The grass was not treated for weeds 2. That deck-NO!!!! It has not been pressured washed and stained, decks need stain as a protective layer and dor aesthetics 3. Carpenter bee traps are inexpensive 3. I could see what appeared to be wood rot on the exterior chimney siding 4. Alge growing on lower level patio (pressure wash needed) 5. Those bushes around those AC units are a problem, and how do they get serviced 6. Cheap laminate floors upstairs 5. Giving the other cosmetic items a pass, kitchen cabinets, basement finishes.... So, although it has fresh paint in some areas, it just looks like failed bandage. It appears that basic maintenance items were neglected and there is definitely going to be other major issues guaranteed, long story short, the buyer wants over half a million dollars, in Mcdonough, and the current owner probably didn't even pay half of that for it......🤷🏽‍♀️ Im sorry, i think with that price and current rates, it going to keep sitting Great video!

I agree with the previous commentary from Tiffany. I personally feel the entire flow of the home was like a maze. I would add... 1.The step up, step down, situation 2. Intrusive stairway 3. Multiple floor coverings 4. Lack of privacy for the Jack and Jill bathroom. 5. Whatever the ooze problem may be. 6. Too many doorways and arches, in my opinion. 7. Just does not present well so gives me an unpleasant vibe.

Wow! Only $850,000 for over 6,000 sq ft?!! I've seen homes that cost more than that and don't have half as much space and finishes as this house does. I saw some things I would question though, like the 3rd sink in the master bath, the kitchen is small along with the small island. For a house to be that size the kitchen should be larger with a pantry. What city is this house located in?

1. Carpet in formal dining (like why) 2. Opposite tiny Living Room or Office has no doors (should have french doors if nothing else) 3. Weird entry cutout area, maybe could be staged for shoes 4. Fireplace is preset for tv placement (some people may not want to place a tv there) 5. Boob lights are outdated 6. Appliances are outdated 7. Column pole obstructs living room view in kitchen (are they structural?) 8. Tiny slab in back (cracked) 9. Back yard not well kept, looks overgrown and ignored 10. Looks like a weird dangerous slope in the back yard, bad if you have kids or animals (No fence) 11. Most new owners don't want projects 12. Carpeted steps (bad for stains/kids/pets) 13. Laundry would be better upstairs near bedrooms 14. Rooms look small (master is fine) 15. Bathroom fixtures and finishes very basic 16. Almost no bathroom storage in master bathroom 17. No shelving over toilet for storage Overall, this home needs to be staged badly.
