It must have been where I was stood. I was by the pillars centre and for the Winery Dogs I was more left and in front of the epic sound of Billy's bass. My camera certainly clipped more this time anyway! I had ear plugs to be on the safe side.

Their cat run is a lot larger now and they sometimes go out in the garden under supervision. They go out the front of the house to look around and eat grass for a few minutes each day, and then come back when you call them (or they just come back when they're bored). At least I know they're safe.

I was using a Sony HX60 in MP4 25fps mode. I should have used it in AVCHD 50fps mode as that would be far smoother! In any case, the camera has a 30x optical zoom or something daft like that so it is great for zooming in; I avoid going into the digital zoom after optical zoom is at maximum because that's like zooming in on pixels and is useless. Also I have it in a Sony leathery case so I am not sure if this covers the microphone on the camera a a bit, helping counteract live volumes.

I must also add that the HX60 has an annoying feature that automatically reduces frame rates in low light, which thankfully you can turn off. It has a gyroscope for stabilization so provided you don't wobble your arm around too much, the footage is very clear. I hold the camera just in front of my chin so I don't block the view of those behind me (I am tall).

Thank you very much! Not sure if the gain was a bit high as it's muddy in low octave passages (compression ahoy) but it sustains well at the dusty end of the fretboard.
