En 1969 yo estaba en segundo año de secundaria (high school). Escuchábamos esta canción en la soda del colegio. Tenía 14 años de edad. Hoy tengo casi 70. Shocking Blue...grandes recuerdos de la época de oro del rock desde Costa Rica. Mariska Veres en paz descanse.

Any explanation for the accent she is using? It sounds like a vampire (Hungarian) accent to me. People say it is inspired by pemphigus, but due to the accent, I assumed it was about a vampire that travels with a circus and is suffering due to lack of victims and fresh blood. The line about taking the forbidden sun also points to a vampire theme.
