I’ve picked one of these Delta 2s and charger up on sale for $1500, that’s less than a second AGM duel battery setup. Looking forward to giving it a crack but wish it had more 12V outlets like an Anderson or Engel socket for the corrugated tracks.

Agree mate! A couple of Andersons would be the icing on the cake, even just the one to connect up to a control box that can be hard mounted in the car would be a winner!

Great video Jack. Just a tip. When screwing or tightening anything on a caravan put a dab of silicone on the threads. They will stay tight but can still be undone and won’t be affected by corrugated roads.

Yep! Leaking and the way our bed is we can’t sit up properly without it damaging the blinds. We will also be doing away with it in our next van! 🍻

Well done mate , just a little tip when using sealer , after running your bead give it a spray with glass cleaner and gently wipe it with a clean rag, gives it a great finish , my son installs kitchens and the use this method on splash backs etc 👍👌

I just use sugar soap with a soft sponge or cloth, I put it on a table so there is a solid surface behind it to stop stretching the material, then just rinse with the hose. The sugar soap breaks down any grease etc on the fly screen too. And there was hardly any bugs behind the screen, we have had a lot more, it's now a six monthly clean.

Good idea! This way seemed to work perfectly for this window but I’ll be using the sugar soap on the kitchen window as it has grease spatters on it! 🍻

Ecoflow's gear is quality. Have their 220w bi-facial portable solar panels and it pumps! Bit pricey, but as you'll see the quality is there.

Hi JS if i had the ecoflow permantly installed in the car could I connect a 240 extention lead from the ecoflow out to the caravan to charge the normal lithium batteries in there via a 25amp victron ac to dc charger all at the same time. cheers bill

Hi Jase. If you run the fridge on 12 volts not 240 you will get a lot more battery life. To run on inverter is not efficient. You may have to do a hack on cables

Hi Jack,my understanding is these and the bluetti are aimed at the US market and they dont use anderson style plugs there,but us Aussie's use them for everything.
@JS_Adventure
@JS_Adventure 12 күн бұрын
Agree, the more we looked into it we were only running the fridge and cooker off Anderson plugs. Realistically the cooker is now redundant as we’ve got access to 240v now opening up a world of other options. Anderson still have there place but for us I think we’re slowly going to be moving away from them

Hi Jack - excellent presentation on the eco flow delta 2 and the alternator charger 👍 - I had recently purchased one of the units and wondered how the alternator charger would work in conjunction with car - I have used the delta unit around house and the unit supported the sander well - recharging in no time 😀 - I have actually connected the delta unit to caravan and switched on aircon - it worked well too. We area looking at it within caravan for support to the microwave / toaster , etc and other off grid purposes- no noise ( not like the petrol gen) - All the best and stay safe 🙃 - so no TA assistant in placing wiring through the car - disappointing 🧐🙄👍 keep smiling 😁

Hey Jase, I can only hope for your sake, you’ve made the right choice. Battery capacity is a bit low compared to the 120amphr. Only time will tell you if you’ve made the right choice. Good luck.

Mate this is going to be really helpful, I have a Avan 587 fairly new and just starting to use more regular and lost all the mains water pressure ,now i have to find the pressure valve, checked under the van as suggested by Avan but nothing there so will check in the van think it may be in the storage area. Many thanks

Those downspouts are impossible to find in the US. Ours are all rounded rectangles, which would be a nightmare to cut for. I'm about to just say screw it and cut the regular holes through my van floor and not even bother with it. Managed to find a 6" chimney cap, but 6" hole saws are half the price of the heater itself. This is super frustrating

It's not a motorbike race track of any sort but it's one of the very popular for the motorbikes to come out away from the bulshit traffic and just cruise through the hills which will take them all the way to Ferny Hills which means you'll be travelling over Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo but if you turn off towards Samford and then travel down to Dayboro have a coffee and lunch or even before that you can go over the back of Pine Rivers Dam excellent picnic areas and swimming. You also have another one which is over Mount mee also a very good Scenic Drive. If you are in the Dayboro area facing the tea intersection with the pub across the road turn right not only will it take you towards the ambulance. But you keep falling the road until you come up to an intersection on your left the only one with a concrete traffic Island turn left follow that until you go past an old hall then it's your next turn to your right and follow that up into the hills and at the top of one of the hills which is a tower you can stay there overnight and a nice view back over towards Moreton Bay and the north side of Brisbane. And this is actually the back of D'Aguilar National Park.

Planning on doing the Goog's Track March 2025. Funny, i grew up in Ceduna but never did the track. The Dentons of this family knew my parents and their kids were at school with my older brothers and sisters, now since passed. Been to Mt Augustus & Kennedy Ranges too, and many more remote places on very rough & remote roads eg: Anne Beadell, Connie Sue, Gary Junction Track, CSR, Gibb River Road, Cape York etc. I have found that many of the outback roads/tracks are as you found Goog's Track.... repetitive, boring, same thing etc. But, rather than the destination when u r travelling outback, it's the journey, the scenery and the aloneness that i covet. And the fact that you did it on your own. It is essential to make sure that u carry a sat phone and multiple fair sized fire extinguishers as well. Love the cooking in the travel oven... got one of those in the JK Wrangler and save a whole lot of work at the end of a long day.

Hey Jase, great video of the almost abandoned outback town. Looking at those old vehicles, it just goes to show you how quality steel can last. Just wondering where your travelling partner Sosh is?? I sincerely hope you have not parted company. Looking forward to another video, when you get around to doing one.
