Yeah admittedly the core fragment grind early on can be a little wonky, thankfully doesnt seem ya gotta do it again later? If ya havent already heard theyre found much closer to the bottom of the world, careful though cause theres also lava pockets that deal alot of damage. You could also wander your lush world for a bit until you find a structure that looks like a mine entrance, its a dungeon where alot of the boxes and barrels can hold core fragments as well as other stuff like ores, better weapons, etc. Welcome to Starbound!

hey, i got some tips for you, hope these can help you 1.so a great and easy place to get lint is the doormat for the shed, which you can get to either from the bike or or the side of the shed opposite the wood pile 2. Inoticed you have normal fuzz on the rocks, but you can make beefy ones using muscle sprouts from the pond dome and beefy smoothies can basically full heal you 3. you csn put the charcoal im a grinder to make charcoal ash which you can make charcoal cement with, which can make the dtrongest wall in the hame which is useful for the javamatic 4. if you're using a quick weapon like the tick macuahitl i recomment using the swordmaster mutation which will give you more damage 5. it really helps to make your base have higher decoration levels, even if you dont care too much about how it looks, since it provides passive healing and lowering hunger and thirst when at base, along with unlocking new beds which provide boosts to your stamina and health 6. i highly recommend getting the chsrcoal torch as it works both abovr and underwater and lasts waaaaay longer than a normal torch 7.if you want to figure out which wespon to make, try snd figure out what enemies youre struggling with, and make a weapon that is one of their weaknesses

you need better equip. the red ant club (rank2 weapon) is pretty good for the black ant lab since it has high stun and generic damage. its good against the ants because of the high stun and good against the robots and the overseer. but its a 2-handed weapon and really not worth upgrading. there is a rank 3 weapon (pinch whacker) hidden in the east of the grassland inside a retaining wall (near the milk carton) but you need to build a scaffold (clay is close. lots of clay.) and you need a bratburst to open the door. it is one of the worst of the rank 3 weapons. but it is a rank 3 weapon with a passive effect when hitting your last combo (3rd attack) wich does an AoE with lots of stun. great against groups, the weapon does lots of damage, its one-handed so you can use a shield too, downside is it got low durability and can only be repaired with repair glue BUT you can also repair it by upgrading. its the weapon of choice for most to clear the fist 4 labs and kill your first antlions, termites and black ox beatles wich gives mats for rank 3 armor and tools/weapons (Antlion armor, Termite axe, Black ox hammer, Black ox crossbow). the antlion armor is a medium rank 3 armor, each piece provides sizzle protection. you need that for the sandbox and the BBQ spill. it is also very much necessary to fight ladybug larvae and do the coaltana event. its not the best armor BUT its rank 3 armor that makes crossbows fire faster when wearing the full set and provides appropriate protection. the passive ability when upgrading the pieces to lvl6 sleak is useless so leveling it bulky makes it a good armor for the upper yard too. the axe and hammer are rank 3 tools but work just as well as the best rank 2 weapons. as soon as you have those you can retire the pinch whacker and try to get good rank 3 weapons. but first of all: you need bratbursts. you need 5 or 6 to clear the black ant hill. and you need 1 for the picnic table, southeast of it is a shovel wich can be bombed free.

I wouldn’t recommend doing the JavaMatic when you haven’t taken on some other upper yard threats, and there’s plenty of stuff you haven’t even discovered up there

Well done! You’re very close to getting to the end of the game, but there things you haven’t explored, collected, peeped, etc, but you can do it

Some tips for you: 5:41 the Black Widow is one of the strongest enemies in the game (obviously) I really recommend sneaking past it next time because it’s agro range isn’t that big, but if you do fight it, it’s extremely fast, if it eats one of the Widowlings it will heal itself, and it deals VENOM damage, stronger than poison damage and the mutation mithridatism WILL NOT work The MANT isn’t all that hard if you know what your doing, it deals big damage and spawns fire ants to help, I would try to parry as many attacks as possible, and avoid the explosives, if you die, load up the last save, you’ll keep your heals and your armor and weapons durability won’t be down

Some tips for you: 1:46 yes, the Roly-Poly armor is better than the Antlion set 4:07 Black Ant armor doesn’t make black ants friendly (preferably the ones on the shed’s porch) but befriending the Black Ant Queen gives you a mutation that makes ALL black ants friendly (even soldiers) but Black Ant armor is somewhat good 14:30 whatever you do, DO NOT try to fight wasps, even I (an experienced Grounded player) has died numerous times to wasps either on accident, or due to stupidity The overall under-shed is basically hell, filled to the brim with the most annoying enemies ever: termites, black ox beetles, mosquitoes, water flees, dust mites, spiders, and SO much more, the only way up to the under-she’d lab is through a mini boss (not very mini) you should be able to see the tunnel at 25:03 Best of luck to you, man!

For future reference: the best way to harvest charcoal is to use full antlion armor, the mutation “fresh defense” (which you can get from eating ten pieces of mint, the insulating larva spike which has a chance to drop from *ladybird larva*, and quesadillantion (I think I said that right) which you can make with the cookery Now that that’s out of the way, it’s time for the real stuff: I personally recommend spending time to make/find whetstones and plating to upgrade your weapons and armor, since the upper yard is full of nasty threats that will be hard to take out if you have low-leveled equipment. One way the upper yard, you can just hug the rim of the grill’s lid, and carefully walk up it

I figured I should probably tell you this, but you can only get globs after beating the black ant lab to get the oven, and the sandbox lab to get the glob recipes And tough gunk is only found in creatures from the upper yard, I recommend fighting the ladybird larvae by the BBQ grill, it’s not a very high drop rate, but it’s better than fighting WAY stronger bugs in the upper yard Hope this helps! The Assistant Manger is the easiest boss in the game, but his attacks can be DEVASTATING if you don’t know what you’re doing, I personally recommend the ant club to fight him, because it can melt the adds and himself, I know you can do it!

How do you get the dagger

you should kill the ladybugs since their armor is 1000% better than most armor in the game - it actually HEALS you. The Mosquito needle is the WORST weapon in the whole game. WHY? Because it tricks you into thinking since it gives you health that it's good. But it does so little damage! Question: 3 bashes with a mint mace vs 250 pokes with the needle? Do you want a quick kill or do you want to life steal your way to a long death? Mint mace is the BEST weapon in the game, followed by the spicy Coaltanna, then the Club of the mother demon - enhanced with sour, salty, spicy or mint, then the Sour Battle Axe - I only put this here since you can only get it SUPER late in the game with only one battle left so...yeah otherwise it would be second. Then all other tier 3 weapons.

Doing great man! That pipe is a long stretch, almost impossible to reach without bubble helmet, it’s really useless besides an ant queen recipe down there, it just connects the haze lab to the sandbox

In order to feed the ant queen(s) you can find three different offerings, yummy, poisoned, and infected, yummy is obtained by completing the lab and giving the super chip to Burg.L, poison and infected are found somewhere inside the lab (they should be a price of paper) although, the ant queen is not needed to complete the the lab

The black ant lab is probably the hardest of the lower yard labs. you’ll need a handful of brat bursts in order to beat it, you’ll also need to open various numbered doors, defend yourself from robots and black ants, and at the end of it all, a boss. The boss is called the “Assistant Manager” and drops the Assistant Manager keycard, the boss’s room is the real danger though, with a spinning laser attack, four shock pillars, and constant spawning robots. I recommend the red ant club, or some other heavy weapon, because that’s his weakness. I wish you the best of luck!

Those globs you were talking about at 4:19 can be unlocked by completing the black ant lab, and another lab inside the sandbox Btw, on a different note, the grinder is used to make slurry, to attract pets ( plant slurry = aphid, mushroom slurry = weevil, and spoiled meat slurry = gnats) or building materials for things later on
