Lol, one time I went up in a boom lift 30 ft in the air then got down to the ground to find out that all the lug bolts on the front right wheel were hand tight 😆. This is why it pays to torque and MARK as torqued. Glad it worked out for you guys as well.

I had a ‘99 Dakota Sport 4x4 with the 3.9l. Was the absolute biggest POS I have ever owned. It could’ve been a contender for Lemon Law but it was out of warranty. 5 water pumps, constant misfires, hard shifts from transmission and 2 lower A arms on the front passenger side suspension. I junked it with 80k miles. All work and maintenance was dealer performed.

That's the wrong way to hook up jumper cables. That being said, i would have thrown a fresh battery in it rather than try charging the old one that's been sitting.

You just blew out the diodes in your alternator on the car you were charging from not stopping the engine before you tried to start the other one. When you have to replace that alternator now you know why.
