Why is there a can of WD-40 next to your pizza?
@bobinpouchcove
@bobinpouchcove Жыл бұрын
That is great that someone finally asked. I had just bought the WD-40 to use back in my hotel room to fix the wheels on my little suitcase. The wheels had rusted over the many months when the bag sat unused in the garage during Covid. I had the can in my hand as I walked into the restaurant and wanted to keep it in front of me so that I would not forget it at the end of the meal.

How are your windows so clean? Great video
@bobinpouchcove
@bobinpouchcove Жыл бұрын
Thank you. How are my windows so clean? I am glad that you think so. I take that as a compliment. It was not the case. The windows were quite dirty causing my camera to want to focus on the dirt rather than the outside subjects. As I wrote up in my blog: “I had enjoyed a fantastic day trying to capture the stunning views while battling the moving train, changing sun conditions, and dirty windows. I ended up with an odd combination of good and bad. I had never had as many absolutely horrible photos from a day’s shooting. But I was pleasantly surprised by the number of good photos. I give most of credit to my latest camera that I bought last year for my next big trip, not knowing if and when it would ever happen. For anyone interested, it is a Nikon Z5, what I like to describe as the very low end of high-end technology, a mirrorless, full frame camera. And I do credit my own efforts as I raced from window to window, constantly bouncing off the walls, seats, and windows. And I have had to utilize the power of Adobe Lightroom in helping with the cleanup. I had to learn to compromise on the size of my crops, not worrying about standard sizes, just trying to eliminate glare, dirt, out of focus areas, and trees. Somewhat disappointing. When I saw the route I was prepared for a full and detailed explanation of the train, accommodations, meals, etc and what we were seeing along the route. None of that was present and the glimpses of things were so fast that it was not possible to get a feel for what was what!!

@@bobinpouchcove what a shame, yeah the first time it scared me half to death because of not knowing about it and then once when I was at that Scotiabank Arena, across from the hill, I forgot to pay attention to the time and was outside polluting myself and had my back to the hill and the cannon goes off and I almost tossed my phone because it got me again. Hope you enjoyed your time in Halifax, did you happen to get a chance to go on the Harbour Hopper? I have taken the Ocean a number of times in a cabin.

Thank you for liking both my dog and my video. Her name is Zoe. She is a 12 year old rescue dog. We have had her for two years and are not sure her exact makeup. We suspect that she is part husky and lab and that she came from Labrador as a puppy.

It's a great trip if you are going to the SF Bay Area--San Francisco (Emeryville Station) to Reno, Nevada. You see a lot of Northern California in six hours--the Delta, Gold Country and through one of the most infamous mountain passes in US western expansion history. Docents from the Sacramento Rail Museum occasionally board to talk about significant sights along the way. Do a couple nights in one of many well priced Reno casino hotels then back to San Francisco. Thanks for posting Mr. Brink!
