Another great video! Just a note, I guess it's not two feeds going into the jerry can, ones more than likely a breather pipe so the air can get in as it's taking diesel out. Only reason I mention that is because if you bung that pipe up it will eventually starv of fuel. Good work all the same Rob 👍

I fitted a split air conditioner which heats and cools in my summer house (glorified wooden shed, glass fronted) which is far more efficient than conventional electric heating, gives 4kw of heat for 1 kw of power, allows year round use, economic and has the bonus of cooling when it’s just too hot, you can get self fit for not too much money

Interesting but I would have put the whole installation under the van and just run the heat up into the floor no need to loose a cupboard also a Victron ip22 can be used as a power supply no need for a battery.

Do you know the Victron charger you have is able to be turned in to a 12v power supply through the app 👍🏼 just thought I’d say incase (with how your using it) if you wanted to get rid of the battery and use it elsewhere….it saves going Victron charger from mains anyway to charge the battery, then battery to power heater and then top up battery with charger situation and all those cables).. you could just go powerbank to Victron to heater 👍🏼 These heaters only use about 40w once running and I’d imagine it would be more efficient to run the Victron charger you have in power supply mode off one of your powerbanks. I think if I had a static I’d consider this too 👌🏼 Also.. edit.. as your not on the road and using in a building you can run it off red diesel.. it’s about 40p cheaper per litre !!

WOW. We did this two years ago and everybody should. We have a double sized living room and we have a diesel heater one end and a genuine 1930's log burner the other that doubles as a stove with a hot plate. Last winter we only put the central heating on occasionally to check the pump hadn't seized. YES, the rest of the house was cold, but we were warm in bed, had hot water in the bathroom and then went to work. BE AWARE though. We had to fight with our Gas provider to prove that we hadn't got a faulty meter as they thought a three bed semi should be using far more gas than we were. It has saved us £100's of pounds. Of course not everyone could do this but If you can live 'Off Grid' in a van, you can live 'Off Grid' in a house. It's called 'The Good Life' for those old enough to remember that sitcom !!! Looking forward to Tackeroo.
