My only concern with strictly relying on 3 strikes is that in my humble opinion, not all strikes are created equally. I understand this list is yours, however I can see where I’d have a 2 strike rule based on some combinations. I guess as long as you’ve thought through it, who am I to question? Thanks for explanation. I have a question thaugh. As explained in the video. The "wing down stall" there is this theory that aileron would increase drage to stall even more. On the other hand wing with flaps on has a lower stall speed, that would to me look like flaps ( in this case ailerons) would help prevent stall? So I just can´t wrap my hand around this. Thank You for answering.
@trent_dyrsmid2 күн бұрын
@@mostek27 anything that increases drag is going to cause the wing to stall sooner and when an aileron is pointed down, it increases drag just like a flap does.
@mostek272 күн бұрын
@@trent_dyrsmid thx a lot. I just thaught for a second that the flap might gain some lift cause the stall speed of the wing at this time will be smaller then flap up wing but higher then flap down wing.

I think that you're forgetting a few fees. You didn't add on insurance for solo fights for PPL, which the school doesn't cover. Also when you finish your instrument and go to commercial, there is going to be a gap before you can get into that rating at 250 hours. We'll say that most people on average will have 100 hours after acquiring both PPL & Instrument rating. That's 150 hour gap. Most schools in Atlanta have cheapest $160/wet, not including insurance. Everyone's experience is definitely gonna vary..

I have a year left in high school and I am in the Boise area. But i will only have just turned 16 when I graduate, you said you must be 17 to have your private pilots licence, so my question is do I wait and save up money until I am 17 and then go to a flight school? Or is there a better route that you recommend? Also, are there opportunities for scholarships/grants in the aviation world?
@trent_dyrsmid3 күн бұрын
@kaeleelockhart8445 I would suggest you strongly consider waiting and saving up more money and then finding an independent flight instructor to train with. All the flight schools in the valley have extremely long, waiting lists and high cancellation rates on flights due to aircraft downtime. But do not take my word for it, do your own research.

I seem to always get around a 30 % on fly to VOR. *I think I finally figured out how to get an A. Once you intercept the VOR, hit the CDI soft key, to change from VOR 1 to VOR 2.
