I have the exact same issue right now on my 2019 Raptor. Dealer said it was the rear window, replaced that last week, and after more rain today it's still leaking. It wasn't the rear window. Water is in that channel and just like your driver footwell. No water detected from the sunroof at all that I can tell. What did they do to finally fix it?

I’m having the same problem. I ran a garden hose at different spots on the windshield. After trial and error and flooding my truck, I believe l found it. The lower drivers corner of the windshield dumps inside the wheel well, and behind the panel of the parking break. I noticed 2 holes in the metal wall that are plugged with rubber grommets. One of my grommets was missing. I plugged it up and will monitor, but l watched water pour in and stop after the repair. Good luck

I had this same issue in my 2016. Took me forever to figure it out. It ended up being the 3rd brake light gasket. It would come in, hit the headliner, and proceeded to run down the pillars to the channels and it ends up everywhere. Look at the headliner near the back window for water stains and take 3rd break light off and inspect foam gasket.

What was the fix? My 09 is doing the same thing however I do not have a sun roof. I know my 3rd brake light leaks, as well as the rear cab vents behind the fold down seats. Determined those were finally sealed up and now doing front side of cab and water is building up from the front door jams grommets/windshield/door weatherstripping…I know it’s somewhere in that location but can not see to find the exact spot. I live in Florida and the rain is constant. Thank you for any feedback.

Working thru this same issue on a 2016 f150 crewcab, no sunroof nor back sliding window. We've had small drips of water at the brake pedal for a bit now (over a year?) but nothing major at all, even thru a PNW winter. This year though that changed as I started to see more and more water on the brake pedal and drivers side floor was getting wet, no puddles but definitely wet. No water anywhere else ... or so I thought. We had our windshield replaced this summer (for other reasons) so understandably I went back to them first. Windshield was fine so he directed me to the rear headliner ... water stains along the whole rear right above headrests. Crap. He said the 3rd brake light is likely the culprit, indicating they've seen it many times. First I caulk around the 3rd brake. This appears to have helped a little as I'm not seeing any clear signs of new water in the headliner, but still getting a bit of water at the brake pedal. Next day (we've had a lot of rain this month) floor is clearly wet, but I also notice the caulking has completely shrunk, basically making it worthless. I order a new 3rd brake light and put that on. Next day it rains (again, hard) ... no water in the headliner at all, but brake pedal has drips and a small amount of water still on the carpet. So ... either the 3rd brake light design is clearly faulty or there's more going on here. Next up is sealing the rear windshield, which I'm doing today. Hopefully that fixes it.

I had the same thing, I own a water restoration company and was able to use my moisture meter to find it. It was the brake light cover on the roof above sliding window. Insulation against the metal and headrest was full of mold. Ford told me it wasn't a warranty issue and I threw a punk ass fit! They changed the light cover but I still have the smell. I'm working on getting the interior replaced or something. I've never touched that light cover so its clearly a factor part failure!

Probably just your A/C drain weeping back into the truck. There's a TSB for it. You remove the little metal sleeve on the drain spout, trim or cut off the "chin" tab on the bottom of it, and install a 90 degree elbow hose and that fixes nearly all of them.

***UPDATE: Okay, update on my 2016 F150 (no moonroof), soaking passenger floorboard and a pond under the sill plate as shown in this video. Took my truck to Ricart Ford, Columbus OH. Apparently this is such a common problem that there’s a specialist that comes in every Friday to fix these water leak issues. So, I had to wait 3 weeks for scheduling but they fit me in. Work order states that leak is confirmed and body seams resealed. $200. I can’t confirm yet, as it was just repaired on Friday; but I can absolutely hear less road/wind noise. The cab of my truck is so much quieter now. Crazy stuff. I expect a class action suite at some point...chalking it up to Ford learning how to build with aluminum.

Ok, I think I know how to fix it. I had the same thing going on, but on the passenger side. carpet was soaked and standing water in the foot well where the wires are. First you want to remove the foot well housing and vacuum out all the water with a shop vac. Also pull back the soaked carpet. I used Vic grips and a bungie to keep the carpet lifting exposing the floor board so it can dry. Get a some trimmer wire and open your sunroof. There are two drain holes in the front to corners of the sunroof. Place the wire down the holes so you can unclog the sunroof drain spouts. It took me a good 2 mins to unclog the drain on the passenger side sunroof. Then test out the drain by pour water in the drain holes while your sunroof is open. You should hear the water pouring down the A pillar of you vehicle. You should also see and hear the water pouring out underneath you vehicle. I poured approx. 64oz of water in the drains to make sure all the debris came out. Hopefully this was the fix in your vehicles too. I'll come back in a few days and give you an update if that was the fix for my vehicle. I'm pretty sure this will be the fix.

I have a 2013 F150 extended cab. I resealed the 3rd brake light. It is still leaking -- most certainly at the corners of the rear of the roof where there is a channel, a rivet, and black plastic channel inserts (drip molding). Both sides of the headliner right under these corners are currently wet and dripping water. The water then soaks the rear carpet, drops in the wiring channel on the floor, and soaks the front carpet too. I have a 2017 F-150 XLT 4WD super crew with very similar problem.... for the past 2 1/2 months it has spent more time at the Ford dealer service garage than it has at my house.. Their body shop has found nothing... I've had to do most of the successful investigating myself. It is actually leaking from the bottom of the door then onto the 'scuff panel' (plastic threshold cover) and running into that channel that you mentioned. It then fills up then channel which then overflows and then is 'wicked' into the carpet padding. After the weather warmed up in the springtime it began to mold and began to stink very bad, giving me a terrible head ache. Now that I have figured out how the carpet got saturated you would think the dealer could figure out how it gets into the door to begin with,,, not so...
