Will somebody close to this band PLEASE post the Lingala lyrics with a translation? I suspect that "Sancta Maria" may be a symbolic reference to "Madre Africa"? I can pick up the music references in Spanish and Portuguese, but is the song about the music itself? Or is it a blend of themes? Muchas gracias y muite obrigada to whomever can explain the stuff before Ricardo sings about having "guarare"--great groove, recorded or live! Lovely tune, danceable, gracias, mi hermano de Angola y Congo!

@bassarelly1 I guess all you need is a pair of ball and a prick, oh yeah you need to be black too.. My compliments as the only retort to sexism and racism. Better I didn't HAVE to swallow it in the first place to realize how sick it makes me. But that's the indelible legacy of KZbin.

@bassarelly1 So all you need to jam with these guys,( or Herbie Hancock, or Jeff beck, the list goes on) is breasts, pussy and a white skin. Ha ha ha, have you even heard her album. You would'n't even last a single bar with any of these guys I mentioned before getting fired. Why dont you show us the money. Back up your comment. Can you even hold a candle to any of these guys.

@slap70s how could you blame the luthier, especially a top notch luthier like Carl Thompson? I think it is because Steve isnt familiar with playing a fretted bass, at 3:20 he says " it needs less fretts" in a joking way but still he isnt at home with frets.

@davoh59 I don't want to use such harsh expressions, but to me, as a bass player, what I hear isn't that exceptional and such. I admire them for being very good bass players, but I like others, mostly those who excel, or used to, in a band, like John Entwistle, Geezer Butler, Les Claypool and so on. This style here is so uninteresting as G3 is.

Hot night & Hot Salsa! Doesn't get any better than under the stars with a great sound system. No smoky club needed to enjoy Ricardo. Video is really good for an outdoor concert. Nice thing about Lincoln Center is that you can get close to do this quality work-- Glimmer62-I couldn't do nearly this good from where I was standing so you have my thanks for the memories on video.
