My question is, are these people checking these tanks certified specialist or some quack that works at a gas company? Also I’ve never seen anybody hydro testing the tank itself. Just another excuse to rip off the customer.

I never was a fan of the New Generation Batteries and Boxes...... So I built My own using some of their stuff with some easy to find steel..... Even made a video detailing the process.....( Battery mounting simplified) very simple, and it allows use of Otr truck batteries.....

Was the oil leak coming from the valve cover gasket or the exhaust manifold? I have small but persistent leak driver side rear. Planning on doing all gaskets next spring but would making sure exhaust bolts are tight potentially fix the leak?

You should not buy trash parts for a 6.0 or any Diesel engine not good and you have the wrong coolant in there

I found an old 20# propane tank that i cleaned up for "yard art" it has a tare weight of 37 pounds. Very heavy. It's stamped not on the collar, but on the top of the tank, close to the valve. Manufacturers date is 10-47. I didn't know they made them that far back.

Loctite says AA 326 is activator cured, did you find any issues with the product not using an activator? Trying to see if I need to spend the extra $44 for the activator.

Thanks for sharing. Same identical situation just occurred with my 12V feed motor on my sawmill. It worked, but was jerky & noisy & something sounded loose. One of the two large magnets (.50hp) came unglued. I just found some AA 326 on eBay that expired last Nov - should work perfectly. I did order a new motor from Wood-Mizer in Maine for $270 including shipping, so I'll keep this repaired one as a spare once I get it back together. I'm in the NEK of Vermont, about 30 miles from Canada. This world is headed for CRAZYTOWN, but at least my mill will be working...

In British Columbia Canada you have to get the valves replaced every 10 years. And yes restamped it's a 10,000 dollar fine if caught filling one out dated. And you loose your license to sell propane.

Looks a good unit! I just bought a prologicx off of Amazon. Supposed to be top of the line but it doesn't charge to a 100% and it keeps flashing and keep charging and never seems to stop meanwhile it's a brand new battery. I'm going to try the unit you got ..thanks

Tractor supply sells a steel stamp set. Buy it and stamp the digits from the sticker onto the tank. I got my stamp at harbor freight and stamped my own numbers and never recertified them. But I did replace the opd valve and removed the rust and painted

I was just on the ali express and saw this aa 326 and a structural adhesive so I figured I'd see what it was used for and this was like the only video but cool I think I saw some activator or accelerator in the pictures too so I guess it's just super glue but probably pretty good quality

It’s not that tank they’re certifying it’s the valve inside the tank. so the tanks can look as pretty as they want doesn’t mean that valve is going to be in working condition. Any tank off equipment is a 10 year recert and other standard tanks are 12 and then 5 years after the recert date it needs to be recert again, every 5 years for the rest of its life.

Triflow works well. First started to use it for bicycle maintenance back in late 80s early 90s. Not too many folks use it. Good to see someone else likes it.

What’s the Napa part number for the heli coil kit to fix this issue? I have two stripped bolts making mine leak.
@LimaTangoZulu2 жыл бұрын
I think ima try tightening those exhaust manifold bolts. I also noticed oil coming off the back of the engine on the driver side on my truck.

This seems similar to the leak problem I am having, starting out I had a pretty small oil leak and wanted it fixed and knew I was gonna have to put all the studs and everything like that in as well (bc it was all factory) so I did everything at once. after spending some money with getting my 6.0 studded, new head gaskets, new glow plug harnesses on both sides, new ipr, and “bullet proofed” I found that I was still leaking oil and it was getting worse.. (would think if I paid someone as much as I did for the job they would have replaced valve cover gaskets and made sure bolts were good as well)…but who knows. This does look a lot like the oil leak I am having though and appreciate your time for making it bc I’m hoping to do the same thing and fix mine the same way, thanks again!

I have this sharpener and it does a good job. if you are not using a blade that has the same profile as woodmizer you might need a matching cam to get a total grind on face and back of blade. Good job on getting machine back in shape
