I guess we should all listen to Sid, the guy that flashes his crotch and spreads his legs on live thinking it's funny, and also doing a close up of Sid kissing to the camera at a time when kids are watching. Frankly I'm surprised that Sid isn't on the the sexual predator's watch list with his weird behaviour.

This series will probably go seven games. Regardless of who wins, I believe Oilers are the 7th best playoff team right now, and the Canuckleheads are 8th. The Oilers goaltending will be better for the rest of this series. It couldn't get any worse. They will also begin getting more bounces. Having said this, I can't help feel that the Oilers will lose this series. I hope I am wrong, but it is hard to shake off the feeling. What an unlucky franchise. On the flip side, the Canucks have been very lucky this season. On paper, they should be a bubble to a wildcard team at best. I believe they have severely overachieved this season and will return to their bumbling selves next season after Tocchet's shine as coach wanes into the night. Go Oilers go! Message to the NHL: Protect your star players. There absolutely has to be favoritism towards the talented players in this league, just like there is in the NBA. The fact that McDavid and Draisaitl have not won a cup in Edmonton yet is a travesty. The reffing in these playoffs needs to be better. Canucks fans will remember 2011 and how the NHL made sure that Vancouver did not beat Boston by allowing the lowly Bruins to clutch and grab their way to a Stanley Cup. Although I didn't have a horse in that finals matchup, I remember how hurt everyone who was a Canucks fan was at how they've been robbed of a championship. The NHL does not want a Canadian franchise to win the cup. The fix is always there. Just look at how the oh hum boring LA Kings won two cups in the past. That team was the antidote for people suffering from insomnia. Anyways, enough said.

Looking at the replay in 0.25x speed soucy’s stick was angled towards Connor’s upper chest/shoulder region before Z pushes from behind. Connor’s level drops and soucy doesn’t adjust in time, hitting him in the face. This is retaliation after Connor slashes soucy with both hands. Immediately after hyman cross checks Z in the head, starting the scrum. I say soucy and Hyman should get atleast 1 game suspensions for cross checks to the head (Hyman maybe 2 since his was intentional?). And Z and Mcdavid should also get some form of punishment… or mcdavid and z 1 game suspension Hyman soucy 2? That seems fair

Read the comment by "NickPoucher" below ... "McDavid had it coming with that aggressive slash." End of story. ... But wait, we can add what I partly posted in a Sportsnet article on the game: "In the article the other day by Mr. Spector ("Calm down, there is no refs' conspiracy favouring Oilers over Canucks") one overly excited Oilers fan among many noted that the Canucks got a taste of big boy hockey. From what I saw in highlights, and live, in particular that scrum at the end with their captain, after he delivered a needless, dirty slash, and was quickly levelled to the ground, the Oilers seemed to have gotten a taste of big boy trench hockey." Also, having followed the sport for several decades, in addition to playing it at a high competitive level, e.g., in tournaments that featured guys like Hall of Famers Guy Carbonneau and Patrick Roy, as well as current Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery, you kind of know what is coming when you throw those types of slashes ... where I would add, as a longtime Canucks fan, especially against the Canucks, as the response has more often than not been more or less immediate. The list of names to attest to that is too long to mention, where just 3 will suffice: Harold "Dirty Harry" Snepsts; Ron Delorme and Gino Odjick. No worries if someone like Kassian - an ex-Canuck ironically - was around for the Oilers, where someone referenced the latter below.

Second hit could've been avoided and grab him and hold him from falling, but no that didn't happen. Instead cross check to the face while his head was twisting from the cross check from behind. Ever hear of twisting a neck too hard? Could've resulted in paralysis or even worse.... death. I think both should be suspended for 8 months. Very very very double dangerous play with intent to injure at the very minimum. Extreme act of evil has no place in pro sports. Gotta to remember children are watching.
@Hawks12
@Hawks12 16 сағат бұрын
Come on “extreme acts of evil” you don’t need to like the guys but acting as if they committed first degree murder is absurd. It’s pretty clear Soucy was aiming for the chest but hit McDavid as he fell forward. Obviously that doesn't mean he didn't deserve the one game suspension. The league needs to watch and penalize cross checks to the head which is why they should also suspend Hyman for his hit on Zodorov which needed stitches. I understand kids are watching but hockey is a contact sport and stuff like this is bound to happen. If children can't handle it then they're not old enough to watch 🫡
