Agreed. Fantastic gig from all 3 bands but was amazed at the poor crowd and lack of enthusiasm from the crowd!

Just saw him last weekend for the first time after having grew up on Priest from my parents. He sounded so good and the show was amazing. I can’t believe they’re still performing at this level at his age, most metal and rock bands from the 70s can’t perform like this anymore

Did anyone hear the sound guy screw up the guitar sound in the first 20 seconds? At that point, I was looking at my wife saying "what the fuck!". We knew this show was going to suck... and it did.

Good show but a venue the size of the Hydro badly needs the video cameras to be working from the get go. Apart from a couple of minutes an hour in, they were off all night. Ok it doesn't alter the sound but when the cameras ARE working, you feel like you are all in the front row or on the stage and just adds to the atmosphere. Also, Halford leaving the stage and going behind the curtains every couple of songs? Wtf was that all about? and as for it sounding "not bad for the first song of the first show, itll get better" that's all fine and well but the Glasgow audience are forking out the same dosh as Birmingham, London and Paris. For that money it should be perfect from the first power chord.

Everyone hating on this show has to remember this is recorded on a mobile phone and it's only pickup up the lowest of the lows and highest of highs. Yeah, Rob struggles to sing this kind of stuff live, but when you're there in person you can hear his harmony tracks and such, and the mix doesn't actually sound like it was one by an emo highschool kid. Same thing happened on the Firepower tour and when I went to see them in person on like their second show of the tour it sounded phenomenal.

No, this terrible sound is quite accurate to what we heard that night. Rob was awful. So was the sound man.

Funny you can't find any more clips from this opening show. I guess Rob sings so bad that their management has blocked them all from KZbin 😂 There were actually many clips from an earlier tour, don't remember which one, where Halford tries to sing Blood red skies. It was painfully bad. Those clips are all gone.

I am going May 12th in Mobile, AL USA. My first time seeing Priest.... I have been a fan since 1983 but mainly Screaming For Vengeance. and of course knowing a few British Steel songs. but I love the latest 4 albums. And I am disappointed the lack of new songs on the setlist. But I get it. people wanna hit old hits. only one Firepower Song and nothing from Nostradamus.

I was at the gig and thought Uriah Heep could have got more than 5 songs. Saxon were damn good. Nice mix of songs from catalogue and banter from Biff. Priest seemed a bit off a few times(and yes it's 1st night of tour). Drums and bass fine,guitars could have volume down a notch to improve tone,and thought Rob/mixing desk could have worked better round his current vocal range. Still enjoyed gig and ears buzzing away now

That pinch harmonic in the end of the first solo is apparently a difficult one to get right, since neither Richie or AJ Mills from KK's Priest seem to be able do it like Glenn.
@omniken66

Glenn is retired and it neither adds or takes anything away from the song as a whole...so it doesn't matter at all.
