Unfortunately it is near impossible to get into farming unless you are a lottery winner I hope Reuben succeeds in his tv career and gets his own farm one day, his parents must be proud of this brilliant young man

Labour's inheritance tax changes could be just the thin end of the wedge and the start of a long term Labour Government plan to nationalize all farmland. Initially the Labour Government have launched an all out attack against family farms .This could lead to more land owned by big corporate organizations with family farms getting squeezed out by inheritance tax . After the Labour Government have squandered the money raised from inheritance taxes from family farms they will then turn their attention to seizing the assets from the big corporate organizations owning land in order to raise more funds for their Labour voters. This will eventually lead to state ownership of all farmland. This will totally change the countryside as we know it. Even if financial, legal advisors and other so called experts put measures in place to try and overcome this inheritance tax there is no guarantee that the Labour Government will simply just move the goal posts again.

Can you tell me how much UK taxpayers pay in farm subsidies every year plus this savings on fuel costs. Also what percentage of farmers voted for Brexit, voted for Johnson with his terrible trade deals. How many farmers supported the miners and steel workers in the 80s defending their livelihoods. As it is said you can take the boy out the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the boy. It's a way of life for anyone who grew up on a farm. It's something that's always in your blood. Reuben will be back farming in his own right in the future once he has made his name and fortune in the digger and plant hire business. It's good to see this young man doing well and successfully growing his business from scratch with the backing of his parents and the support of local farmers and the local community in the dales.

I worked on a farm at 14 potato picking, and a farm who reared turkeys for xmas. Ive been to many farms as a pest controller. The farmers are the back bone of our country, and work very hard.
