5th time watching this video this week. Best performance of this song no doubt, I wish they did the intro like this on The Basement version...

At first I said who is this imposter pretending to be Phil, then they panned over and I saw Phil. I am okay.

I've no idea why they don't play this song live much after the TKOL tour. It wasn't even played once during the AMSP tour. It's clear they all love this song. Thom belting it at 3:40 confirms this. It's such as fun song to play, and sounds great.
@francois29573 жыл бұрын
It's so good. I hope it comes back too. But they've had a lot of songs that they bring back. We didn't hear fake plastic trees at all during TKOL, but it came back for AMSP tour. Let Down, etc

so this was basically an early take of the AMSP version... Or maybe what sparked the idea to go in that direction?
@sonnybonny13 жыл бұрын
the amsp version started to take shape during the ok computer and kid a/amnesiac sessions, when they skipped out on the guitar. it is featured on the oknotok cassette

I love this song - I listen to it almost every day in my car, but this sounds like a mediocre band trying to cover it and make it dancey. Radiohead is capable of so much better live. It's way too fast and it sounds like they're power chording their way through it

Part of why I love this track so much live is because of Thom losing his shit when singing it. Here he's just chill. Shame if you ask me.

the song changed. only the name stayed. The first Reckoner you're talking about became Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses and was released by Thom in 2009. look it up :) this Reckoner is a totally new song. Thought you might be curious about it.
