Literally at the end of the year I lost my job and decided to be a freelance photographer 😅

Bro you inspire me a ton and I been keeping up with the journey. What lights should I get for my cyc wall that aren't crazy expensive

i'm definitely looking forward to that video on steps to going freelance. I just recently got laid off from my job due to lack of work and so i'm taking this opportunity to go all in on freelance. I'm a good photographer but i dont know what the next step is. I believe i have the talent, just never learned the business side.

Still have mine. Left them out in the pouring rain, dried them out and they still work. They're tough and portable, and cheap

I built my first studio this year! Took me 6 months of work every evening to rip up flooring, paint, move walls, paint, vault the ceiling, paint and built a cyc wall. Oh and paint some more Realistically I don’t use it a ton. But it serves its purpose as more of an office and a place to be creative than my money maker. It allows me to have fun and work the photography that I want to do rather than the luxury real estate photos that pay the bills. I’m hoping that this coming year, I can work more personal shoots into my calendar and begin doing more of the photos that i would like to be taking.

Yeah there is honestly no reason for fx3 in 2024 especially when there is something like Panasonic s5ii with open gate for like 1300$

If I wasn’t so deep into the Sony ecosystem I’d switch to lumix tbh
@antonzavarzin72082 ай бұрын
@@MoodyDarkRoom Yeah switching system is not fun. Haven't seen your content on KZbin for a long time. Are you doing more videos than photos now?

I feel like you haven’t done a custom white balance here. Sony’s ‘colour science’ leans green using the default white balance values. Custom white balance really makes the green/magenta balanced. It’s the same with the fx6 etc. Also not really a valid test unless you use the same lens which is easily achieved with a cheap vintage lens.

how did you make this lens contact your camera?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and explaining things in a simple way. Lately I have seen so many gel photos online and they hurt my eyes. I agree with you about creating depth in photo with gels. Not blasting everything with colors!

Love the color of the Fuji. It also seems sharper and cleaner. The Sony looks more 'video'. Big issue with the Fuji looks like the focus hunting. Sony seems to have that nailed.

I'm not sure you know this because of how you talked about the high contrast lighting, ambient light can be controlled with shutter speed and fstop. Flash brightness is controlled with the fstop and flash settings. So to control the high contrast, adjust the ambient light like the projector with the shutter speed and the flash/strobe brightness with the f stop to put it simply. Or meter the ambient light on the models face and decide how many stops you want the flash to be from the meter reading and adjust the flash accordingly. :)
