How was it? My truck is also 2WD and im planning a trip there. I have the clearance but not the 4WD. I’ve been told it can be done from the south

One of the trucks in the video is 2WD. He was fine. Just air down and take it slow. The trail itself is relatively easy. We did take some other trails in the area that were a tad more technical.

@@Janky07it’s definitely doable in 2WD. Depends on which way you come in though.

We did! It was such a bummer. People knocked down the fence line and vandalized his house. It was covered in graffiti and burned in certain areas. I came out here approximately 8 years ago and it was pristine.

Yeah, that’s what I heard. Rumor was the water was warmer near the power plant and it attracts bigger fish. I fished it a couple weeks later and caught a whole bunch of leopard sharks. Nothing bigger than a couple feet though.

It’s hit or miss. Where we camped there was no service for Verizon.

You can drive your rig right up to the river. It’s all dispersed camping.

GB_GREEN It’s one of my favorite places to be. It’s so beautiful up there. I believe there is way to get to the river from south side. You may have to hike it a bit as I think the roads may be poorly maintained on that end. Yes, you can bring firearms and target shoot. Just make sure you do it responsibly, obviously. We normally set up targets against a hillside and stick to the trails. Cheers!
