Thank you so much for this! I'm planning to get this soon.

Very good, you said the right word conventional gear lol yes it’s mostly tail draggers and we came for an event called the Wentworth airdrome something or another or WAD. So it was understood we were all meeting there. I would just go meet the owner. I can get you his name if you want you can send me an email at [email protected].

How was it getting permission to land at nh96? My brother owns property literally right across the Baker…so naturally, we’re interested in what flying into this place is like. I know they tend to specialize in conventional gear airplanes over there

Is there a way you can load an approach into the 660?

I needed to change the tire on the Scott 3200 tail wheel on my Citabria and found your video on this topic. It is what I was looking and helped me somewhat. However, maybe some editing to remove non-relevant scenes is called for. Also, should you get to film this again, please include the hub assembly process, which is not shown. The torque setting on the 4 bolts holding the hub together is 120 in-lbs.

I couldn’t tell you about that product. But it connects automatically in my plane to the GDL 39.

I just got the 660 installed in my Piper arrow but it doesn't connect automatically to my flighstream 210. I have go into the tools/bluetooth menu and click "connect" everytime I powerup my airplane. Isn't autoconnect working?

Wow, this brought back so many memories. My wife and I lived in London for several years. We miss it terribly. We were right around the corner from the Natural History Museum and would walk Hyde Park daily. I hope you went to Borough Market. I used to fly out of Elstree and White Waltham. Thank you for the great content.

Are you happy with the product overall? And why did you choose this over the 760?
@TailWheelsRock2 жыл бұрын
Because the 760 was not around when I bought this. I would definitely get the 760 as a friend of mine has it. It’s beautiful large and has additional features. Don’t ask me what they are right now. I think it has to do with ifr charting.

Three suggestions; first, I would have made sure the bead was broke (unseated) before removing the wheel half bolts. Second; I like to use tire talc. Talc meant for personal use is mostly corn starch. You can get tire talc from Aircraft Spruce or an automotive parts supply store. (It's fun seeing the look on the clerks face when you ask for it. The youngsters have no idea what your talking about. Then the manager says he has to order it. But it'll be in the next day) Third; please get a tripod for the camera. I was getting woosey.

First time seeing this on KZbin - Fun seeing it from the cockpit view - I literally walk around this every day (sometimes when it snows or when the temperature is below freezing I miss that day bcoz black ice ) there is a great bike path along the perimeter of the airfield that leads from South Beach across the Island to the Sound on the northern shore and continues on to Oak Bluffs - a great biking, walking, running area - kinda the first (or ‘last’) bike path in America - right on ‘the Edge’ - Oh and nice landing AND that old metal hangar with the wind sock at the end is no more… it’s gone.

Hi Roger, that’s the Hilton which is at the end of runway 27. It’s great if you get there the first few days otherwise the rates go up dramatically it’s pretty crazy but we do this every year but it’s a little tricky getting a reservation happy to help you if you need

I just bought the GDL 50. Are you using the GDL 39 here? I can’t get weather on the ground like you are. I’ll be flying with it today for the first time. I was told I need to be about 500’ above the ground before it works with weather but you have it. Any info you can share about this? Thx do much
@TailWheelsRock2 жыл бұрын
I use the GDL39 -- works well - on the ground it is using the internet - make sure your unit is connected and make sure you go to menu and tell it to choose AUTO when it comes to weather - meaning internet or FISB

The most crosswind I have landed my Husky in was 25 gusting to 35kts...(it took me six tries)! A really good skill to have, since sometimes one cannot go to another airfield. I could have landed at a crossing taxiway that day also, I suppose.

What is your name I look forward to meeting you!

I have 1600 landings in Husky N55MA, 5 of which I would show a video. Not the easiest to land. BTW my 2005 was purchased at McCreery Aviation in McAllen TX, hence the MA registration. I suspect your 2007 may have originated there as well.
@TailWheelsRock2 жыл бұрын
It did! I bought it in 2016 from Jim Taylor at McCreery aviation. It had 100 hours on it when I bought it has mint condition as you possibly could get, and the seller paid for all these additional things to be done like the 2200 pound gross weight upgrade change the Lord mounds change the fuel site tubes so many things. Jim Taylor of course recommended that and if I were ever to sell it which is doubtful he would be the man to use! Yes believe me for 40 hours I had a pit in my stomach every time I was on short final. You read so many stories about ground loops and tail dragger‘s but I found a husky to be very benign. I also believe that the 26 inch Goodyear tires weighing 44 pounds each help keep the plane a lot more stable! Thanks for watching
