Great looking boat. What's the fuel burn at fast cruise.... 180 litres per hour?
@ALifeMoreBoatyКүн бұрын
Beneteau, did not say, however Mercury quoted twin 300's at 3500rpm, they burnt a combined 66 litres per hour, pushing the hull to 23 knots. So simple maths would say 3x66 LPA (198 LPA) and a speed of 25 knots. This would all depend on load and sea conditions, and is only an example.

That is a nice boat, good layout and enough room for a small family. Nice finishes and equipment, all you need. Nice tour thank you.

Every time I see this boat, it fascinates me. I love the design the style I would give it a 10, more like 9 1/2 because it doesn’t have a hardtop option i also love the Wellcraft 435 but it only has two state rooms and no flybridge

Whats your true opinion on the IPS vs Shaft , yes there are benefits on noise vibration and space consumption etc... But reliability ? Maintenance frequency? Overall running cost? Thanks for the video
@ALifeMoreBoaty5 күн бұрын
I know everyone has a different opinion on this. So for me shafts all the time, I'll take simplicity and forsake the fuel savings, which I'll trade off for lower service cost, and I don't need a joystick, I'm old school on the sticks. That's just my opinion though. What's yours?
@sultanrashid23945 күн бұрын
@@ALifeMoreBoaty agree!! More and more manufacturers are slowly shifting to IPS either by choice or environmental reasons especially in the 60-70 ft . Would take shaft drives any day over IPS the instant torque and ease of maintenance is what pays of at the end

I love the idea of a sailboat but I would not have one as it looks like to much hard work, but what I do love about them is how beautiful and practical the interiors are. This looks great as you come down the stairs and it has a great layout with nice finishes. I like the view from the bow outside, the hull looked so low profile and un cluttered. Great tour thank you.

Modern 50-ish-footer sailboats are a revelation compared to those boats of 20-plus years ago! The interiors are bright and well-appointed as opposed to dark and dingy.

Totally agree, it's a revolution from the dark spaces of old.

also possible to sail one short or even single-handed - I once crewed on a swan 53 - everyone else got food poisoning and as a barely competent crew was left to my own devices in the North Sea for a blustery 24 hours . eventually with some limited instruction managed to heave to - oh yes, they could do that!
