How are you not getting white streaks on the kasumi doing it like that o.o
@JapaneseNaturalStones3 ай бұрын
You just need to control the mud on the stone, more mud you use less streaking you get
@dealwithit4103 ай бұрын
@@JapaneseNaturalStones Hmm my mud is a much runnier consistency... your mud almost looks like a sauce :D Did you soak the stone for that video?

I have never seen someone correctly sharpen a blade using this method. This doesnt sharpen but actually offsets your cutting edge. Yes, you are using the right stones, but only focusing on one singular portion of the blade is detrimental to the edge geometry. Swiping motions reaches the full blade as you push and pull, why do you show incorrect techniques to sell a product?

It is Stone testing video :D Not sharpening video, Showing how stone cuts how fast it is and how it sounds :D

He is thinning the blade not sharpening. 😊

You clearly have no idea what you talking about, educate yourself about sharpening and thinning.

i cant get anything off my charnley to shave good. scratch pattern is insane scratches everywhere. i lapped flat, then with 2000 paper on glass, then chisel, and nothing. do i have to bare down EXTREMELY HARD when chiseling to smooth?

I have the smaller one. It seems to be a rubber block with some abrasive coating. Non-stick and fast working. No idea how long it'll last. I like that it does now leave rubbery residue like rubber based erasers like Sabitoru can do in extensive use.
