Had a friendly game with my Snotlings vs Skaven. My opponent first roll of the game 3 die blocked my Snotling nobody - triple skulls! Re roll- triple skulls!! I then proceeded to roll double sixes for armour and then again for injury! My mate took it like a trooper. We laughed so hard, and still talk about it to this day. He kept his head and ended up winning 3-2. A game of legend, just keep positive and love the game ❤

Team the Gnomes with Grombrindal, Sure Feet, Break Tackle, Mighty Blow +1 or Dauntless on any Gnome Player! Including Fox as a fouler!

Interesting point to remember! If there is a Norse Team vs Gnomes and a Norse Player gets wrestled to the Prone position, they could be up and ready in the start with a Beer Boar present?

OPR is so overhyped. It's easily one of the blandest, most boring game I've ever tried. Strategically and tactically speaking, it's a sea as deep as a puddle.

It’s all about preference. OPR has games done in 60-90 minutes with the full game and 30-60 in the skirmish modes, it’s free and accessible, and it’s basic which is great for beginners. It also does have more optional and advanced rules for those that like the stratagem system for 40k/AoS

@@codybishop8751 basic is about the only semi-positive thing going for it. It's an okay intro for those new to tabletop wargaming. But if you want depth of strategy, tactics, list building, game play and more, OPR ain't it. Even the "advanced" rules aren't really advanced or add much to the game.

I agree with you, but the whole point of this was to hang out together with friends and play a game with each other that doesn't involve a ton of book-keeping, which is exactly what we all wanted in this instance. If you're after something tactical you're absolutely right that there are better systems out there, (I even say in this video that Conquest is my personal fave), but sometimes it's just nice to roll dice with your mates and have a good time with basically zero overhead and OPR fits that perfectly!

Our local group of old-timers with tons of figures gave up entirely on 40K a few years ago and have entirely embraced One Page Rules for our scifi figure/fun. We have gotten our figures on the table more in the last 2 years than in the previous 20.

Having played OPR about 50 times, I never really enjoyed it. I am currently enjoying AoS with its limited simultaneous activations. I have tried multiple games and oddly enough I keep coming back to GW games. I do agree, playing different games makes each game experience much better.
