Excellent instruction video, Jason. I drive a Freightliner dump truck for our county highway department. You do a nice job of explaining the stationary regen in easy to follow directions. Thank you for taking the time to post this.

2007 Freight liner 12.6 volts. Been trying to get it to start. She will not crank fast enough. Brand new batteries. So cold and frustrating . Tried either no go. Thought it had vapor lock. But tonight I got just slow crank. 20 degrees out. Burrrr

Great info. Just one question, how often do you recommend to do a regen on this type of truck? Sometimes I drive more than 100 miles one way and I heard that the regen is done automatically after 45 minutes of continuos driving, is this true? Thanks.

That’s only fuel pump problem u don’t have to keep full your tanks. Prime pump couldn’t hold the fuel inside. If fuel is going back to tanks first check your fuel pump pressure and than check you fuel line houses that’s it

I’ve never been to a freightliner dealer where any service advisor gave a s*** what I had to say. Especially Joplin, MO one. I tell them exactly what I know is wrong but they still charge me 1 hour labor. for each item.. diagnose charge, see. But I didn’t need them to. Well this man in AL seems nicer.

Ya great for driver fatigue you say smfh...with all the beeps & buzzers and other bullshit noises and blink flashy lights .. You'll have a headache by the end of your driving shift everyday.

Right on! We need more appreciation for our freight haulers! If the trucks stop, life stops. Many don't understand that Everything in the store's were delivered by a truck. No truckers, no supplies. Make sure y'all have dash cams on your truck's. People don't watch out for truck's. Be safe out there!

What if i tow it out of NM 1500 miles and the service location cant fix it due to incompetence............... Then do i simply tow it to the junk yard?............ At 8 dollars a mile to tow it maybe i should simply tow it strait to a junk yard in NM............ What do you think?

Listen to this man. The amount of wear and tear on the fuel pump when dry is catastrophic. At least pump prime it if you do have low fuel after that week of sitting. I just wish the USA used COE models more. All these trucks were designed for it. Would make a mechanics life so much easier.

This is what happened to us I think.. it was about 1/4 tank when we shut down for 10 hours on a pretty decent slope.. ever since then we're experiencing hard starts or it will crank and never turn over. Is this something that should resolve itself? We fueled again since then as well.. should we have primed the tank?

Misleading video. How about you actually say HOW to cycle the brakes and actually make it regen.

He can't make it actually regen by cycling the brakes.....He shows what it takes for the regen to kick in, but the regen warning sign is not coming on. That was my problem , I took it to Freightliner and they couldn't make the regen warning sign to flash, which is the indicator that a regen is necessary. The only way to force a regen is to purchase the tool (DTC+AFT tool) and when the check engine sign comes on you hook up the tool to reset the fault codes

Jeremy Ahrens Trucks used for long haul do it automatically as you are on the freeway. It is the local or regional drivers that will have to park the truck and do a regen because their dash is asking for it.
