I just could not work this one out & had been really looking forward to it. I don't have stacks of time for games & found this impossible - obviously down to me not knowing what the hell I'm doing. I was thinking it was an XCOM type thing, which I'm half decent at... but alas not. Any good videos that are a beginners guide? I play on PC. Thanks in advance 🙏🖤

I don't know of any good tutorial videos but steam and Reddit is usually where I go if I'm struggling with a game. My advice would be recon class with a sniper and silent kill perk makes life much easier early on. Snipe off the enemies and try not to get spotted for as long as possible And play on a lower difficulty till u get used to the game mechanics a bit more. Hitting space bar just to slow things down while ur in a fight is also very helpful and don't be afraid to use tools for tactical analysis it's very helpful as ur skills like shotgun blast grenade and especially suppressing fire will save ur life. Always rest when u can as stress really hurts ur soldiers ability to fight. And when in doubt extract and come back take ur time to LVL up your soldiers while u can

dont forget to ge back into the refinery and pick up your sentry guns you left behind, they'll be broken so bring tools to fix em. You don't wanna leave those valuable things behind

ah yes, the random spawnage of enemies, why i always start at the 1st (start) drop point, check the map before moving to other drop points xD

I feel like walls hardly matter against spiters. Towers help soldiers to kill them before they can spit. But hey, failures are why people watch this game ;)

Randomly given this due to the blessed algorithm. Saw this on steam and was hesitant but seeing more game play may have solidified buying it. Maybe convince some friends too lol. Also as someone who's had 8yrs in fastfood, you'd think I want nothing to do with it again but this sparked some weird urge.

Great vid. Don't beat yourself up, hard mode is hard for a reason. I see it's made for co-op. I think this game would be fun to play with friends.

Yeah I still think Harpy wave is hardest (mostly because it comes way earlier and if they sneak through any gap and they can jump walls they can infect everything in a flash) but you do need an army capable of taking out the giant wave before they take out all the defenses (they only hit from one side so you can throw the whole army at it which should be pretty sizeable if you haven't fallen behind). The last wave is relatively easy compared to the Harpy wave, Mutant wave and Giant wave - I find those 3 waves cause more damage than the last wave and those 3 waves only hit one side. As long as you take out the handful of giants early (executors/soldiers/snipers all on highest priority should make sure that happens unless you fell too far behind and can't amass enough of them) the rest of the last wave doesn't pose much of a threat unless the giants completely wrecked a defensive position before they could be taken out in which case you may have to reinforce where the giants hit but you should be able to pull units from where no giants hit.
