Yes not the best recording, poor mics poor placement, the record level was to high causing distortion in the mid treble and middle lows ICK so poor a real travesty.

One of the most dramatic and fantastic recording of Wang. Her best for me. She played like a Goddess in these times. This was her pianism ten years ago. A tremendous tension, unpleasant and definitive, brutal and incredibly beautiful. Into the constellation of Sofronitzky, Hofmann and Horowitz. What could be better ? Nothing.

Николай Луганский лучше всех исполняет эту пьесу Рахманинова. Но у неё тоже неплохо выходит, чётко, не смазано.

The worst video I have seen on Yuja Wang's playing with the bass overwhelming everything drowning the music. It sounds like recording issues instead of the playing though.

Over the last 45 years I have Horowitz in concert, Weisenberg, Pollini, Pogoreilch etc..all incredible. 2 years ago Yuja Wang. I thought the hammers were going to come apart in the Chopin sonata. Stunning. Scriabin was perfect and finally on the 7th of 8 encores she broke into a Scott Joplin Rag to calm people down but it was a virtuoso rendition for her. My point is that Ms. Wang blows all the others away by miles. Don't believe me? Go hear her live!

Very Rachmanoniffish. Thoroughly enjoyed it despite the imbalance / misplacement of the speakers. The purity of the notes was really incredible - no slurs or fuzzy passages hidden with pedal. Technically, one if the best performance of this piece I have ever heard in its fire, clarity and bravura.

@@santysappia3576 microphone is on the left side of the piano (you can see it in 0:35) so maybe that's why the left hand sounds stronger. Also terrible microphone quality

The sound quality is awful, but that initial theme has the character of Yuja Wang, not Rachmaninoff's anyway.

You can't tell -- the recording is really that bad. Of course, you can tell the tempo. But the dynamics and bass-treble balance are obliterated by the recording.
