This era of Strictly was the best for the pro dances. As amazing as all the storytelling and CGI is in todays shows, actually getting to see the dance styles when they did medleys like this was way more impressive

I think this was one of the best Paso Dobles ever done on DWTS. Anna was an amazing Pro dancer and so was Derek of course. I would put the paso doble done by Mel B and Maxim Czmerkovski a close second.

I let everyone know that in the comments below today is Patrick swayze’s 8 year anniversary of his passing and we all know he was a close friend to Jeff Conway and I wanna say on his behalf of Patrick he was a grate performer and actor and a singer and dancer to also in acting to we know him as Johnny castle in dirty dancing and outsiders in 1983 film as Darrel and also in 1989 film of roadhouse played the role of James dalton and point brake played as Bodhi in 1991 and ghost with Courtney cox from friends in 1990 and we know about his battles with pancreatic cancer and he came at his last days in September 14 2009 he was everybody’s favourite choreographer and songwriter to and came to the world to show his talents in Los Angeles California he was in series with Chris Farley in 1975 sketch of chippendales on Saturday night live i let everybody know that was coming on Netflix is the movie how they came with Saturday night live it became movie call Saturday night all you will love it I think someone will play the role of him showing the chippendales skit so I try to say is I think Derek hough did excellent job doing that tribute to him and to his memory of him all of his iconic moments he had left with dancing with the stars it was very special to all us to keep him alive in his legacy and to keep his spirit alive I want to thank him for all his amazing work his accomplishments on his music career and acting to even on his Compliments to for his outgoing performances so I know he is proud of Derek for that amazing tribute to his music career in in world of art and dance because of him and his region it brought the light to whole world to see his pouring soul out to show his heart to his fans and may him rest in peace September 14 2024 You are like the wind

This was from the mini-pro competition in Season 8. DWTS has also done junior competitions (multiple times) and a college competition. In Season 3, I believe they also trained a viewer for ballroom competitions and filmed her progress.

This was in Season 8 (Spring 2009) where Anna and two other pro dancers competed for a guaranteed spot in the following season. They each had to dance 3 routines in 3 weeks (this video was the first week, I believe), get judged by Carrie Ann, Len, and Bruno, AND be voted on by the public. It was like a mini-competition. At the end, Anna won, partnered with Michael Irvin in Season 9, but never came back to show again.
