I use a dedicated rod and leave the sabiki on it but you can hook the hooks together the same as you would if you leave it on a rod and wrap it around a large piece of cardboard or plastic

I kayak fish in Lake Macquarie and Cockle Creek using salted chicken breast cut into cubes and an occasional lure. That said I will be increasing my lure fishing as the season improves. My target fish are Bream, Flathead, Whiting, Trevally and other edible quality fish. I use garlic salt with the salt (not iodised) for the chicken. If the fish are there I will catch them. I intend to try salted Pilchards (no garlic) and also cube them. I compress my salted baits under weights to reduce their thickness & they are cubed when the salting has been completed. The salted chicken will be useful for several months if kept in the freezer, however, it does not freeze but does extend its life. I look forward to your awesome videos. Thanks for sharing.

The herrimg they are eating at the moment is the size of a 5gram chromy lure , and there is some nomad vibes that resemble the extremely small herring thats around at the moment , only problem with using these small lures is the tiny hooks cant take the punishment from the big fish eating it
