Sun Stars truly are hit and miss. I have a few, but pointedly, I have 63 Falcon I love but then a platinum series 1960 Fury, which had clear vinyl stickers over the emblems that took some of them with them when removed..and the gummy upholstery print on the seats. The platinum series are packed in Styrofoam and Styrofoam can gas out and react with other plastics and the longer they’re in the Styrofoam the worse they get. These platinum series are 200 buck plus models, and thats a lot to pay for disappointment.

Every SunStar platinum model I have purchased has had something wrong with it. The Styrofoam that they packed them out and sometimes can react with the model plastics and make them gummy, and it never goes away.

Not electric. Electric cost too much to Maintain. The battery cost $61,000.OO to replace. They are not selling well. You can’t go far in electric car.

It's amazing the amount of money people spend on these 1/12's, I have a small 1/18 collection and thought it would be nice to have one featured 1/12 but I quickly found out how high the prices were. And lots of the expensive models are boring, not exciting for the money. I finally happened on a wonderful "poor boy" 1/12, it's by MotorMax and it's a 1/12 Ford GT in Red, it's really nice, very detailed, wonderful engine and interior, weird doors, everything opens but the front bonnet. Is it detailed like AA, no not even close, but when a tight budget is always hanging around your neck it's nice to have something like that that's affordable. Total cost $71 and it's my flagship model for the collection although not the most expensive by a long shot.

You need to stop trying to move everything that looks functional in your models. (Like pedals and shifters, etc. not everything is gonna be functional on a tiny model. they are display models, not toys or exact replicas. The only thing that should function are the steering, the opening doors. And suspension if you’re lucky. Unique features aside, they aren’t meant to be tinkered with. That’s how they break.
