Henry Harris, Later known as" Termite" was my friend from primary school. 2 days younger than me ( 48 model) passed away some years back suddenly while enjoying the South Coast retirement. He was a man of many words when it came to music. Very knowledgeable in this subject. Miss you bud.

I met a Rhodesian in Belize… very nice man. I was in my early 20s and today I wish I had the opportunity to talk to him about the history of what happened to Rhodesia. I did just neet a black South African… he told he when to Rhodesia just after it became an occupied nation in 1980. He told what happened after was a tragedy

This little journey started with me writing about a movie I worked on in Port St Johns, and then went down a rabbit hole following Ben Dekker, which led to Rosalind Bellingall, which led to John Oakley-Smith, which led to Anton Fig, which led Mandy Cohen, which ended (or perhaps strtaed something else?) here. This part of our musical history is buried so deep, it's hard to find details, so thanks Marc for your good work! Where do you keep your archive, by the way?

I've been looking for this everywhere! Beautiful track that's sadly not available anywhere 😢 Thanks for posting (and for the back story in the description)! Wonder what happened to Jenny and why this album isn't available on streaming services? 😕

@@MarqVas1 ah ok, thanks for the feedback! Still think she should re-release this gem of an album for ppl to enjoy 😊
The tune is fine, nice version with an ending reminiscent of a dance venue more than a club. But honestly, it was the Westclox alarm clock on the album cover that got me to click. I have one like it. Ubiquitous would have been the word for it back then, quaint Deco collectable today.

❤🕺💃❤ Happy memories for those who danced there dressed to the nines. Now that it is a posh retirement village, may well be home to some who partied there with Basil Metaxas and his Show Boat Quintet, back in the day when it was a hotel. Someone let us know.
