A great way to push the deer hair back and get it really behind the eye is to use a half hitch tool , love the muddler fantastic 👍

What’s your dates for next year mate , I’ve been going to uist for 30 yrs and I’ll show where to get big troot on Benbecula and south uist and the flees to use lol. Never met stevie but always on fb offering his help and expertise, have you thought about a trip in August or September for the sea troot and salmon it’s another level but worth it if the fish are in. Give me a shout if you fancy meeting next time .

Caught some lumps in it last year and again last week that I didn't let reach FB for obvious reasons. Stevie is a good friend of mine and knows exactly where to go, but that sounds ideal to me pal. Well done mate , was there second week in June and the weather was shit ended up going home early , cold winds from the east, fished hallan on the last day and had two good fish , also had an evening on druidibeg biggest 2lb , just shows you what uist is like when you get the weather .
