A song written to Blixa. Nick was hurting badly from their slow train wreck of a breakup. Hopefully, someday he will come clean about how many of his iconic love songs were actually written to or about Blixa.

He definetly shuffled up the lyrics a bit but still a great performance. It can't be easy to sing and play an Instrument at the same time.

Fun fact 1: Deanna's penultimate film. That and her swansong, 'For the Love of Mary', according to her third husband were the only ones she disliked so much that she never watched them again during her very long retirement. Fun fact 2: Fred Astaire had officially quit movies after 'Blue Skies' to set up his chain of dance schools. Universal offered him choreographic and first-time directing duties on the film version of this Broadway hit, but he pulled out at the last moment. Vincent Price said Fred must have belatedly read the script. Instead it was directed by Bill Seiter, who had helmed Fred and Ginger in 'Roberta', and choreographed by Helen Tamiris. Among her numbers was a ballet inspired by the artwork of Currier and Ives. The picture flopped on being released simultaneously with Astaire's sensational comeback in 'Easter Parade'. Four years later Fred did a Currier and Ives ballet with Vera-Ellen in 'The Belle of New York'.

It’s largely blues rubbish coupled with a decent guitarist. Jeff has often hidden behind that. He is not a good songwriter.
