I would! The reason being is the incentives they are currently offering. With pre-bought down interest rates,10k in closing help it is tough to find anywhere in the resale market. All depends on where you are living! I have really enjoyed growing up in Maryland. No matter where you go in the country there will be hotspots with larger crime rates.

You should encourage people to check out Waters Landing in Germantown. Paved trails connecting to Black Hill directly from the neighborhood. Best value in MoCo. Then again don’t tell everyone my secret

Hagerstown is a crap hole anymore, I moved here in 1976 from Pittsburgh and Loved it. But anymore this place believes in the move field of dreams. In the 80’s they built a waste paper recycling center, when it was due to open the place was outdated and never occupied. Now the new thing since 2021 is they are building all these new warehouses, yes they landed a huge Amazon facility, but these gigantic warehouses aren’t even being occupied nor do they have leases and or tenants for them. I know of 5 places that have been completed in a year and no occupancies yet. Who is paying for them ? Us property owners.

Most of the places are for the wealthy and even then, not the best. I personally would suggest the following towns: Westminster, Frederick, Hagerstown, Frostburg, Easton, St Michaels, Annapolis, Havre De Grace, Thurmont, Sharpsburg, Middletown, lots of charming towns in Maryland, sometimes it's worth a longer commute to live in Mayberry

Yes, your money will go ALOT further in Western, Maryland! Keep in mind though, Annapolis is by no means a cheap area to live. Home prices can creep into the millions before the blink of an eye.

I've lived in Maryland all my life and I never knew it was odd that we display our flag so much until last year. But, then again most state flags are just the state seal on a solid colored background. I didn't even know what thw Virginia state flag looks like until last year although I live within a 25 minute drive of the border and have spent plenty of time there. I honestly still couldn't identify it because it blends in with the vast majority.

I lived in Maryland for nine years. Great state parks and a lifetime free pass at age 62. Ski hills and sailing. Downside: to register a vehicle in Maryland you must get a vehicle inspection Oh, and the light-rail takes you very easily to BWI.
