We have in Ghana Distance and Sandwich education of which 80% works while they still go to school. Hmmm unemployment is a huge problem in Ghana and Africa as whole. If you are a Graduate doesn't guarantee a job right after school. I think America is moving forward due to individuals creating more opportunities instead of relying on the Government.

If it's that expensive as you guy are saying ,why don't you stay in your home country, Ghanaians are unhappy with the influx of nigerians trooping into their country, with all the criminality that being inflected on them, We have nothing in common with nigerians, our closest relatives are the Ivorians, Yet we don't encroached each others space and disturbed their peace. Nigerians Claims we share a common language, Yet we struggle to process and understand their English. They come to our country and disrespect, belittled, and make mockery of our delicacies.

I agree with the speaker on learning to speak , Tanzania is the best destination. However, the learning process is not complete without sampling Kenyan swahili. By the way, the majority of native Kiswahili speakers are found along the coastal strip of Kenya and Tanzania and the adjacent island. 17:00 s😅

Just rest from long day or week work. Here in Ghana, you need to plan very well. You cannot live ad hoc life, you get frustrated.
@kwakugyasiarthur4784

Ok, let me address a few things you have said. In Ghana, we gift a lot and receive as well but because of economic challenges people are keeping to themselves and that is why you don't see frequent giftings. However, our nature is that, we don't want to always be at the receiving end and it makes us feel vulnerable and lower our self-esteem. I am not also saying there no opportunists in Ghana. Feel free whenever you want to gift people things. Jokes about children resemblance to their fathers. It is not cool now because of the following reasons 1. The advent of DNA and false fatherhood. Both women and men are a bit skeptical about jokes regarding saying a child resembles the father. Some people are adamant about such jokes 2. In Ghana, people have adopt children and often times do not want it to be in public domain. So when you make jokes around children and their "parents", resemblance it sends some coldness through their spin unconsciously. Again some are not bothered about it. Some are also proud of it even though the child may be not his/ her biological child. The resemblance comes about because they live with the child, doing everything together and express unflinching for the child, subconsciously the child adopts the character and behaviours of their fosters parents, and sometimes, they resemble their foster parents physically. Your kind of greeting is more of reinforcement to something a Ghanaian is doing. For example, when you see me doing nothing, and tell me "well done", I will be confused because I am not anything worth the encouragement but the normal good morning, good afternoon and good evening, Ghanaians value them a lot, particularly the adults. In Ghana, people value their time with their families, and festing together with their family members. During holidays such as Christmas, Easter etc are the times traders have valuable time with families. In fact, that is where gifting is experienced more.

As someone who's experienced education in both worlds, I agree completely with your guest. The education we received back home was solid, but it was mostly too theoretical and many of our lecturers were too distant and rigid in the way they interacted with students. If we can adjust our teaching methods to make things a bit more practical, emphasize student research and self-study, insist on critical thinking and encourage better lecturer-student interactions, we'll see much better improvement. Our education is not as bad as some people make it out to be. There's a reason we shine when we come out here. Wishing you both the best your respective endeavors.

Got my license in Pennsylvania about 17 years ago and it was quite tough at the time. I had to study a BIG book from PennDOT and took a 40 minute computer test. Unfortunately I failed my first driving test. LOL. Was sent home to come back a week later. Thank God, I passed the second time. LOL.
