8k was misleading because it doesn't play games at 8k but it would make sense for movie playback, it probably should have a label stating '8k movie playback supported'.

Developers can barely get their shit to run 4k60 on the ps5. They definitely aint putting out 8k anything unless its 8k10😂

People need to get it right the ps5 has always supported 8k for one game and 8k video. But the system still does 8k video and only 8k for the one game. Sony removed the 8k from the box not the system cause they didn't want to be sued over advertising 8k gaming with there only being one game 8k supported on the console.
