@@thesoapobsessionbathandbody how hard it was. I was so shocked. I’ve never had that issue. I hope it doesn’t deter you from trying again because pine tar soap is amazing ❣️ Pune tar doesn’t sopanify so I CPOP mine and do the normal cut time and they are always so amazing. My normal cut time is usually 18 hours, but that’s for all loaves. This surprised me so much.
@thesoapobsessionbathandbodyАй бұрын
I was surprised, too. But I'm definitely going to give it another shot. I will set an alarm to check it at 12 hours. It is a great addition to soap. Do you add fragrance or essential oils to yours?
@dianehedricks7860Ай бұрын
@@thesoapobsessionbathandbody YES! I add a fragrance called “Cuban Cigar” with patchouli, cedar wood and tea tree essential oils. Pine tar has a strong and not favorable smell, to some.

Hi, I'm a fellow soaper, just found your channel, enjoy your videos. Don't know how KZbin algorithms work but I'm surprised I haven't come across you sooner since I make an effort to seek out and support small soap channels. Question....I notice you're using FO's from Bulk Apothecary in a few video's. I bulk order butters/oils from them but never tried any of their FO/EO's. Overall, are you pleased with them? Do they stick well in soap?
@thesoapobsessionbathandbody2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. I do like their fragrance oils. The only one that I think didn't hold in soap was pineapple. Like anywhere, read the reviews.

I like the idea of a rope or ropes to top a soap. I've been playing around with piping and sometimes I'm at a loss of exactly WHAT to pipe (I'm no pro however! very limited skill-wise with piping). Your batter looked really fluid and the bit in the piping bag looked really soft! I wonder if it's because it was 100% oil. I've never done 100% olive oil, you probably could have waited for an hour for it to set up enough to be stiff for piping. You'd have had time to watch lots of videos then! 😄
@thesoapobsessionbathandbody11 ай бұрын
Yes, 100% olive oil makes very fluid batter. Even after waiting two hours, I could have waited longer. It makes a wonderful soap after a nice long cure. It is worth trying. This was my third time pupi, so I'm sure you're better than me.
